Question on UUNP Bodyslide References for SSE

In the process of merging oldrim's reference template with the SSE one and do I copy and paste every single thing that has UNP in it? Cause I want to make sure I do this right.

Spoiler

Adding UUNP to SSE Bodyslide

To get the UUNP Presets, Templates and Slidersets into SSE Bodyslide.

If you do NOT have an existing Skyrim (Oldrim) Bodyslide installation:

 1. Manually download Bodyslide FOR OLDRIM from Skyrim Nexus but DO NOT INSTALL IT.

 2. Extract the archive to some convenient place that you can find again.

The instructions below are tailored to the Oldrim BodySlide download 7z archive's FOMOD folders as the source "copy from" folders. If you have an existing Oldrim BodySlide installation, ignore these source folders and instead use the "paste into" folders in these instructions as both the source (from Oldrim) and destination (into SSE) folders.

 1. Back up your current SSE Data\CalienteTools\Bodyslide folder just in case something goes wrong in the following steps.

 2. From the Oldrim BodySlide Archive's 00 Bodyslide\CalienteTools\Bodyslide folder, open RefTemplates.xml and Copy the 6 UUNP records:
 *Unified UNP
 *Unified UNP HDT
 *Unified UNP Special
 *Unified UNP Hands
 *Unified UNP Feet
*Convert: CBBE to UNP/7B/DG/CHSBHC and more
hhUhZu9.png
You can close the Oldrim RefTemplates.xml. Open Skyrim Special Edition\Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide\RefTemplates.xml and paste the 6 Oldrim UUNP records into it just below the top <RefTemplates> tag, save the file and close it.

 3. From the Oldrim BodySlide Archive's "02 UUNP\CalienteTools\Bodyslide" folder, copy the following folders:

 *ShapeData

 *SliderCategories

 *SliderGroups

 *SliderPresets

 *Slidersets

J19zIo1.png

and paste the copied folders into your Skyrim Special Edition\Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide folder so that they merge with the existing folders.

 4. From the Oldrim BodySlide Archive's top-level folder, copy the "10 1st Person UUNP\meshes" folder and optionally ONE of the following folders (you do not have to install any pre-built body meshes, you can just build them in BodySlide after completing these steps)-
 *"07 Pre-built UUNP + Morphs\meshes" (no physics bones)
*"08 Pre-built UUNP HDT + Morphs\meshes" (Breast Butt and Belly physics Bones)
*"09 Pre-built UUNP Special + Morphs\meshes" (Same as HDT above plus Labia bones)
32Om7ey.png
You must do 2 things with the \meshes folder(s) you select above:
 a. Run NifOptimizer on it/them BEFORE you copy-paste them into your game folders because there may be headparts that you will permanently break if you run NifOptimizer on your character assets folder; and
 b. After Optimizing the meshes folder(s) selected above, copy it/them and and paste it/them into your Skyrim Special Edition\Data folder such that the copied \meshes folders MERGE WITH the existing Data\meshes folder. If you do NOT get Folder Merge warnings on \meshes, \actors, \character and \character assets folders, you are pasting the wrong folders into the right place or vice-versa... abort and try again.

 5. Finally, run NifOptimizer on the Skyrim Special Edition\Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide\ShapeData folder to update the meshes to SSE specs.

Once you have done the above, which takes no more than 5 minutes, you will be able to use SSE Bodyslide to create and modify all that UUNP goodness in SSE.

Wow- the images didn't resolve when you reposted my guide! WT actual F? I spent a couple of hours making and editing the screenshots, then rewriting the guide to accommodate the images! Obviously, LL is "doing something to it" in the process of including it in a back-quote. Idk what or why it's doing it, or how to fix it- reposting my guide 679 times every time somebody asks a question doesn't make sense...

EDIT- I think I understand now- the images are on Imgur, which is blocking 3P links from LL. Apparently, @llokii70 isn't using Referer Control to overcome that blocking, and so when s/he reposted the guide (with embedded images) they came through as blocked. I guess I should move the images to a more frierndly host since there will always be some people who haven't heard about Referer Control.

No, there are actually 17 other declarations you need to copy over, but for inscrutable reasons unknown even to me, I wanted to keep those a secret, which is why I perversely only specified those 6 records in my guide. My objective is, apparently, to destroy your game, your computer and your home all in one swell foop. BWAAAAAAAAAAAhahahahaaaaaaaa..... :classic_wub:

Reposting my guide here since we are inexplicably in a new thread and the images are obviously needed.

Can't see your imagines @Vyxenne for some reason Microsoft edge is blocking them. Got all the other stuff done other then the RefTemplate

Dear heart, I have just finished mentioning why the images might not be visible to all users, and mentioning Referer Control as the solution (above.) It would be great if you could Google it (for your browser), install it (in your browser) and then you could see any and all linked images from Imgur.

I even posted how I built my Referer Control filter for Imgur somewhere, but I don't remember where I posted it, so here it is again:

RefControlImgurFilter.png.ed4caf5608a93d7dc04e629fa4e2105a.png

Meanwhile, I am working on finding an image host that does not block LL. I do not want to upload the images to LL because I want the guide to be postable anywhere, e.g. Nexus, Reddit, wherever.

Here is my guide again with images on Flikr, which is not blocking LL links AFAIK:

So what would be the other 17+ records be? Would it be every single ConversionSets\UNPConvert.xml in the referencetemplate? I also saved your guide and photos to my PC for future use.

@Hippeus - Please let me know if you can see the images in the new version of the guide (above) with images on Flikr instead of Imgur. Also, I just back-quoted myself (the new Flikr-image guide) to see if the images remained resolved, and they did.

No, of course I wouldn't do that. :classic_wacko: My point was that I wrote a guide specifying which RefTemplates.xml records should be copied from Oldrim to SSE, and only specified 6 records... at which point you reposted the 6 records and asked if they were the only ones. My response was intended to be satirical, sarcastic. Obviously if there were more records that needed to be copied I would have said so. My response was intended to convey my dismay that you would even ask such a question.

Yes I can see them. Perhaps you could have LL stick a guide for UUNP users?

I must’ve messed up something with the ref temp cause I get unexpected exception error when previewing outfits in bodyslide.

Apologies for the necro post ... but I've looked and haven't found a better guide to adding UUNP support to the SE version of BodySlide.

This thread or an updated copy of Vyxenne's guide would make a great addition to the "SE Compatibility Tracking" thread.

I'd like to suggest that the following two Oldrim folders also be copied:

00 BodySlide/CalienteTools/BodySlide/ConversionSets

00 BodySlide/CalienteTools/BodySlide/ShapeData/UNPConvert/

Those two folders allow you to use the built-in conversion support in OutfitStudio.

FWIW, the way I add in the UUNP support to my installation is  by creating two mods - one mod is simply a folder containing the merged "02" and "10" folders from the BodySlide Fomod (without the top level "02" and "10" folders of course).   The other mod holds the manually merged Reftemplates.xml.  Just place them after the main BS mod in MO2 or other manager.   The files involved in UUNP supprt haven't changed in years, so you can usually upgrade the main BodySlide mod without re-creating the two UUNP support mods.
