Ashen_Eyes Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 So this has been happening for a while with multiple mod settups, which makes me think it is a symptom of something other than a specific mod. But... My game will crash to desktop on loading. When... Loading a Save Entering a new area Walking through an area of the open world Which would indicate something wrong. It can happen anywhere, Walking into a tavern, entering a cave, or walking over a bridge. It isn't consistent though. I have found that by simply doing the exact same thing one more time (Sometimes two times) the game decides it will load fine. I load into the tavern, or the cave. Walk right over that bridge with no problem. Sometimes the bridge issue requires I walk a few feet forward, Save then load back in after crash, Walk a bit further forward and then save, Load after crash, ect. Do these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? It is growing tiresome to test stable loads because it doesn't always happen. I load a set of active mods. "Do I get the title screen? Success! Two hours later damnit it's a CTD, Let's try to replicate the situation.. Huh. Nothing happened." Over and over again.
Adviser69 Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Out of curiousity, just how many mods are you running, and how many heavy hitters are they? Most of what you are describing is indicative of a possible script overload causing CTD.
Ashen_Eyes Posted July 18, 2019 Author Posted July 18, 2019 I do have quite a few. If it is a script overlord what can be done about it? I think my mod load order list goes up past 70, and yeah they can be pretty heavy scripts.

Are you using ENBoost, Crash fixes and SKSE Plugin Preloader? Get them installed.
