if anyone can help me fix this head and body "color" or tint or something issue i'd be grateful. using the leyenda 4.0 skins. i make replacers and all the skins for them work fine. this only happens for my PC. not enb related (i'm assuming). something is making my pc use a different tint? ugh its driving me bonkers...

Is the character loaded from preset or did you import the head.nif? And is it for sure the head that is off, do hands and feet match body ok?

no this is a freshly created character. i tried all diff skin tex mods and it only affects my pc. its like the Data\Textures\actors\character\female folder is cursed for me. i tried it with no ENBs as well.

there's over 9000 topics about that....

open femalebody.nif

open femalehead.nif

compare both mesh nitrishape, one have vertex color to yes, one have vertec color to no -> seam

any difference is a seam, more or less visible

then copy paste femalehead in femalebody (with outfitter if copy pasting missing bones in nifskope is too hard for you)

with the hand and feets while you are at it

load femalebody1.dds and the rest on those meshes, and check

if that don't match there, of course that don't match in game

then the same for _msn, _sk and _s

You open body hands feet head in nifskope copy them all into the body nif.

Go to each nitrishapedata for each body part scroll in bottom window find hasvertex it probably set to no on all but the head so you double click on no and it will switch to yes.

New data box appears right under where you set no to yes named Vertex Colors, hit the green refresh symbol to update this and it will turn into and rgb selector and it's done.

Then go to BSlightingshaderproperty and in bottom window find box for shader flags 2 and double click in the section where flags are listed and use scroll to find and activate vertex color.

Do this for all body parts, now if your textures are a perfect match then body, head, hands, feet will match.

If they do not match exactly eliminate all but one texture for each body part in the bsshadertexture set just remove all but femalebody.dds and head and hands.dds and see if this is the mismatch, do the same for each of the textures to find the cause of the mismatch.

>>> But I think you have a complexion slider active or some head part is causing this for you if your npcs you made were fine.

You open body hands feet head in nifskope copy them all into the body nif.  umm what? if i open body / hands / feet i will have 3 separate nifskope files open (also not sure if i'm supposed to use the 0 or 1 file). then you want me to "copy" them all into the body nif? no idea how to do this or if this is what you meant.

the femalebody doesn't have a vertex color line item?

this is really weird because here is a side-by-side comparison of my PC (LEFT) and a replacer I made (Aela on RIGHT) which uses the same files (meshes & textures) just in a different folder.
