[Unity 3D , Full 3D , Bondage] Milky Ways version 0.92

Time for a new naughty game ^_^

This time you play as Marc , a voluntary test subject for a new vaccine.
Just wanting to do something else than the usuall work on a spacestation and maybe having a shot at the CORE android on the planet.
But… you really hope the vaccine works… like intended.

 

Some technical details :

– About 34500VN frames.
– 8 GB unpacked (2gb packed)
– Using DX 11
– Needs about 5! GB of RAM (heavy texture load , please consider to use the half texture resolution load!)

 

Known bugs :

– Performance is very low due to high polygon 3dChars from Daz3d ( i did not optimized the models itself only the clothes a bit)
– My engrish is… ahmm.. xD
– Loading time for a savegame is horrible slow , thank Unity 3d For this! (C# related)

So finally.. here it is. The story complete version of Milky Ways. What started as a "small game" grew way.. way.. out of proportions >_<

- Added about 200 VN frames (Mostly generic VN frames)

- Added a feature in which you can "spy" onto the girls with the tablet menu

- Added a feature to call a girl when in free roaming mode (tablet menu)

- Added a feature to control a girl after finishing the game (minor feature , not much to do here for now)

- Added a new GUI for switching the clothes of the girls

- Fixed : Small bug fixes and added some new functions to the background framework

Okay. I played it for a while and here's my feedback. I also played your previous game a couple of times. ? Grrrreat job!

I love how you focus on characters and I generally can't wait to see how the story evolves as I love the setting you've created.

Makes me want to dig tunnels all over the island.

 

Here two things I really don't like though:

- The shakiness of the camera while moving. It's just too much and annoys me as I can't see well while moving. Please reduce it a little bit.

- The way you mark items that can be interacted with. It works but it looks unimmersive and cheap. Maybe something like a spinning white circle with an arrow inside or a glow instead?

 

I look forward to see if there are still pirates on the island! ?

maybe you mean the headbob ?
You can toggle this on and off.

If you don't mean that then i have no idea really what you mean , the camera does not have a script to make it more shaky.

(And i do not have a idea on how to contermeasure this issue to be honest >_<)

 I man i created it this way so everything is faster and not like.. hey i need to wait to pick something up.

Yes it looks cheap but in the end isn't it faster ?
(maybe i can implement some 3d icons or something like that)

@Kerny Yeah, I ment the headbob and yes, 3d icons would be as in every other game.

Thing is though, that players are used to see cool looking icons. How about a threedimensional spinning exclamation mark?

I'm sure your game is going to be amazing but these 2d sprites make it look to me like you're an amateur which you are not.

Nice. I really liked Abandoned as well, though as much as I love the concept behind the whole BDSM/orgasm control theme, there were some shortcomings there (e.g. you couldn't disable the girls' ability to orgasm through BJ, which kind of ruined the point of constant T&D). One thing that really got me annoyed though was the MC. I understand that this might be your writing style for your protagonists, but it was just SO FRUSTRATING when Vivi and Aemi kept coming onto him, when he was constantly displaying this "I like kink, but I am too much of a pussy to proactively do anything, even with girls practically *BEGGING* me to dick them" attitude. Like, I have a problem with approaching women, but I would get a hint and try being more forceful after being told for the twentieth time that she gets turned on by being bound and losing control over her orgasms. Not that this ruined the experience (it was still quite fun), but the experience was good *in spite* of the MC's attitude, not *because of it*. And the quality would go SO much higher with proper D/s dynamic I think.

 

And yes, I know this is porn and not reality, but I still need to say this: As someone who has tiny little bit of experience with an actual BDSM community, no subbie is going to go around, begging their reluctant dom to actually dom them, as that ruins the whole "losing control" fantasy. I don't think I've seen it in MW thus far, but just in case, I thought I'd point this out.

 

As far as MW goes, I don't have that many criticisms (I mean yes, I would obviously prefer sexual encounters like in Honey Select, but with the whole bondage/kink element, but I know that asking that is unreasonable when you're the only one developing this)... One thing I would change though is Yukari's skin design... IMO, those lines are really distracting ATM, maybe remove them on her mk2 body? Or at least make them subtler by making them thinner, in slightly darker body color instead of black or black, but with lowered opacity.

As a side note, ever thought about asking someone to proofread your text? I mean, I know you're not a native English speaker, but we do have the internet, and I am sure there would be people willing to fix spelling and grammar for you.

EDIT:Oh, and regarding the D/s relationships - from your weeb naming sense and references, I gather you're a fan of dem mangos, aminos, and other mongolian cave drawings, so if you still haven't, check Nana to Kaoru for a very nice, romantic - and most of all, pretty realistic - teen maledom/femsub relationship drama/romance story.

Honestly, you don't need 3D icons. Just make the image of the crosshair change shape into speech bubble or an open hand/exclamation mark when you are in range. Or it can even stay in the same place (Though I guess, positioning it closer to the center of the screen might be better, as it will be easier to notice), just make the icon the same style as the rest of the UI. I've attatched an image I cooked in literally 5 minutes, but notice how much of a difference that makes when that icon is in the same style as the rest of the UI, as opposed to the black and white one. Also, IIRC, the exclamation mark tends to stretch on my 16:9 resolution, so fixing that might also help reduce the feeling of "cheapness" Loveryus mentioned.

I have no experience with the BDSM community and real life has shitty gameplay. (good graphics thou..)
So.. i like to stay with "it is a fantasy sci fi porn game" and after a little bit of doing stuff for them they may want to have an encounter or two.. or more.

I will reimplement the story mod thingy like i did with AATOFL. Not in the next version but maybe in the one comming after it.

The game does not have a crosshair , but maybe i think about to make it maybe animated or postion (as you mentioned it) it closer to the middle ofthe screen. (but i liek the animation idea ^_^)

Huh, my apologies then. I was sure you are into both, considering the themes and naming in Abandoned and now in MW. I can still recommend NtK though, it's not hentai (so no actual intercourse), it's just very raunchy/ecchi and the relationship between MC and FMC is surprisingly wholesome at times. One of the best romance mangas I've read, it just happens to be about this beginner dom who has a crush on a girl living next door to him. And the author is more into bondage and power play rather than into sadism/masochism, so there's not much pain (I do think there was one scene with spanking though, it's more psychological than physical though IIRC). It might strike your fancy (and give you some ideas, hint, hint), and hey - you can always drop it, if you still don't like it after checking it out.

 

I do like the idea of torture through pleasure though :3 I just like the idea of taking that pleasure away at the last moment to build frustration and horniness even more.

God, I am so dumb... Of course it doesn't, cause you don't target items by pointing at them, you just enter into their range <facepalm> But I really did play through them, I swear xD

 

As for the animation, I know jack shit about making games, I guess I would only like to say: don't sacrifice performance for fanciness. It is entirely possible to make a game look good without pouring tons of frames, models and shaders into it.

 

Anyway, yeah. GL man, I'll keep my fingers crossed, cause your works have a lot of potential :)

First off let me say that I enjoy the games that you make.

 

Second, I do not know if this is the right place for a bug report or not but here goes any way.

-The last item you make for Juna has the same text description and image on the 3D printer as the collar for Yukari.  The item works for Juna and looks correct when she uses it, just not on the 3D printer.

-When you use the mouse wheel to scroll down on the 3d printer, the inventory appears on the screen and scrolls as well.  3d printer still works normally you just have to open and then close the inventory window afterwards to get the item inventory to leave the screen.

-I do not know if this one is a bug or not, but when you give an item to one of the girls, you still have that item in your inventory.  This means that items can be used by two of the girls at the same time without having to make one for each of them.

 

Third, Just my personal opinion but, you could add a fast travel maker to the chemical generator after you get it running to save the player some time when he needs to get chemicals, and you could move the Metal collection box so you don't access the 3d printer by mistake.

This is actually not a bug. First i wanted it to function that way and then i thought that wait for all eh resources or gathering them only to create the same item is kind of.. not fun. So one time built is fine (and a reason for me to make different toys for the girls)

I tried it in my dev version and i can not make the inventory appear in the 3d printer menu.

I first noticed it when I had enough items to create in the 3d printer menu to need to scroll to view them all.  The bug occurred for me when the fist action I did on the 3d printer menu was use the scroll down using the mouse scroll wheel.  It did not occur if I scrolled up first or used the scroll arrows on the screen only when I used the mouse scroll wheel.  It scrolls perfectly fine when scrolling the inventory using the mouse wheel.

 

Edit:

I just tried to make sure I told you correctly with my finished beta file and i could not get it to occur,  It might have been on my end due to playing the game for several hours when it showed u, or it was only during a few main story item builds that it occurred, it was a few days before i found this forum to inform you of these small issues.

 

If you ever need a tester for your game I will gladly play through and let you know of any bugs i run into.

OH my.. i am late but i fixed this bug. This bug onl occours if you fast travel and then use the 3d printer.
It is fixed in the dev version now and wil be implemented in the next beta :D

What is actually new in this version since the last public version ?

Mainly the 3rd person bondage spy minigame , i added a savegame from the end of the last public beta so you can just dive into the minigame if you want to:

New open beta release of Milky ways 0.84

Alright here we go the open beta of Milky ways 0.84 for everyone to enjoy.
Didn't came that far with the overall story since i had to catch up all the generic events with Juna and of course the Monopoly mini game.

Important for the windows version , i forgot to include a folder , please see the attachment of this post. (nothing game breaking)
Copy the extlog folder into the "Milky Ways_Data" folder.

The new monopoly minigame start event can be found in Yukaris base next to Junas bed.
(under the pile of boxes) for this to occur Juna must be marked as a slave and she must life in Yukaris base.

- Added about 400 VN frames (Minigame Related)

- Added the monopoly minigame 

(currently the Win/loose rpg events are not implemented yet)

- Added (hidden function) Nested variables built from string

Hello and thanks a lot for that great game.
 

I have a problem - I can not pass the event about Juna and her second device. After I have installed the second device right to the Sybian, Juna try it. Text, text, text and she say "Faster... please...". Then I see the button "Faster!" and I click it.
 

Another pack of text and I see two buttons: "Slower!" and "Faster!". From this moment the game goes to the loop: when I click any of those buttons, I see several text messages and after those messages I see those buttons "Slower!" and "Faster!" again. Again and again. 
 

I tried to click them different ways, many combinations, but game is in the loop - I can not finish that event and I need to quit or load the game, but there is no way to go forward.
 

I have tried to start the game from very beginning several times, but result the same - that event is endless.
 

Those bug is on both versions 0.84 and 0.88 for linux.
 

Please help me. Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply , i rarely look into the forum these days.
Usually you should just click faster several times until an event triggeres that makes it continues.
I made a whole playthrough with every public release on windows so i can say that it works there.

SO anyway ,one thing i can do for you is to give you a bunch of savegames.

I hope with one of them you can skip the event (i am not sure which one actually) and then just continue.

I have unpacked the files in the game folder,  in the load screen the images and dates of the saved games have been appeared, but when I click on it the application go back to the main menu. My old saved games loads fine. I have attached the saved game file right before the broken event to this post, could you try it in your copy.

 

Any ideas? Wrong version? The application has the text "Milky Ways Beta version 0.88 made by Kerni" at the bottom of the main menu screen, but the executable file has name "Milky Ways Beta 0.87.x86_64", so I'm not sure I have 0.88 or 0.87 version. Or maybe LINUX application can not read the saved files from windows?

I know about the saves those placed inside file ~/.config/unity3d/Kernis not existing company/Milky Ways/prefs, so I have disabled option "Savegame Workaround" to the application uses TXT files instead base64 code from prefs file.

I really should look more often in here , sorry for the reponse delay.
so... i think something is broken with the "faster" event then , as mentioned, usually the event will trigger automatically. (but i made a play through of 0.92 so.. mhnn.. Weird...)

I have tried version 0.92. The event issues are still exists (the event is endless). Also the 0.92 version can not load your save files, even those are included in the installation zip. But both versuions (0.88 and 0.92) loads MY save files without any problems. If your files were made in windows, so I think this is the reason of the problem, because I use linux version.
