[New Vegas] aim in first

Do you all know the mod aim in first for Fallout 3?

I loved this one and I wanted to use it for New Vegas... Since I wasn't able to make my own (one that would work well that is). I made port for my personnal use...

Bad luck, gudwynn stopped coming to the nexus and never answered my mp so I couldn't share it even after almost a year (Doing so on the nexus would get me banned) So I decided to share it here...

While in third person, if you hit the "aim" key you'll automatically switch to first person... Release it and you'll be back to third person...

I don't take any credits for the work...

I just changed the master, and removed the melee check since it wasn't working on new vegas (I prefer to block in first person anyway)

Known bug:

When you're in first person, aiming will switch you back to third person...

I don't have time to work on it right now... I will get back to it eventually but you're free to try and fix it before I do

[spoiler=Here is the original readme from Gudwynn]Script for players that always want to play in 3rd person camera but still want the weapon accuracy of first person.

With this mod installed, pressing block/aim will switch to 1st person and releasing block/aim will switch back to 3rd person. The POV toggle still works normally until you press/release the block/aim control.

Update 0.5 disables the script when player has a melee weapon out. Should help with normal blocking. Either enter melee in the POV you like to fight in or tap the normal POV key to switch.

Requires FOSE

Also here is my weapon mods for fallout and New vegas...

It's a weapon that drain radiation out of you with each shot (don't expect too much though)

Pulowsky Rad rifle F3

Pullowsky Rad rifle NV

As for my own mods feel free to modify, include in your mod, claim it's your own or otherwise...

In fact do what you want...

That is... something I never knew I wanted until now. :D

:edit: Of course, the way it dumps you to 3rd person if you zoom while in 1st person might just be a mark against it. :s

I should have tested it a bit more... I know it works well in the fallout version...

Well indeed the problem is here... I'm afraid I can't pinpoint the problem though...

It's possible I messed something up in script when I removed the melee weapon check or that they changed the aiming function a bit in NV...

I will try to find something but anyone is welcome to try...

Or i could cheat the problem by making it an equip item... I don't have much time right now to work on it but I'll edit the op accordingly

Yeah, sorry about the huge delay. New job, new city. Never even hooked up my gaming rig again.

I'm looking at buying a new rig and maybe playing/modding FONV starting in January. While looking for recommended body/armor mods, I ran across this forum/post.

Went back and edited the description of my fallout mods on nexus to grant everyone rights without permission. Probably should do the same for the oblivion scripts and adult stuff done with my other psuedonym.

Anyway, let this be a lesson to me and y'all. Please mark your stuff as available to use without permission. Or maybe: "permission granted if you PM me on nexus and I don't get back within 30 days" or something. Back when I was more actively modding I didn't think about it because back then the nexus ban hammer was only used when the author complained and the reposting mod refused to comply.

With mods, you never know when life will push it way down your priority list. Sorry again for the black hole there.
