whatevuz Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Edit: I have delimited the problem to a mod file "megary_naturalcolorseyeset.package". Removing this fixed the problem right away. Â Hi, after last patch (and updating ww/mccc) I've encountered some (maybe 20%) of sims have all their clothes/hair/brows skin coloured. They keep the cloth/hair textures on, but they appear skin toned with naked overlays on the clothes (nipples etc.). If I zoom all the way in, the colours show untill I zoom back. This also affects portraits and doesnt seem to be tied to a specific outfit. I've tried stripping accessories/clothes, removing hair, changing skin tone (i have some tones added by mods), removing skin overlays, nothing seems to remove the issue. I random created some sims and some dont have this problem at all and some do, so it would seem that it has something to do with something they're wearing or what is applied to them. However I tried remove literally everything they're wearing and it doesnt seem to help. Â Â Pic of when I zoom in, the colours fade away as I zoom farther. Â

Wollsau Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 I have the identical problem ... watch here http://prntscr.com/o64vy3  Gfx maxed settings with a 2070 Nvidia. Don't know what should be so "special" ...
clamman5 Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Are they wearing any tattoos? I recently fixed an issue like this by updating some CC in s4pe. I added mipmaps to all textures that were bugged.

I added mipmaps to all textures that were bugged. I removed all tattoos on the bugged sims i edited, and im pretty sure not all of them had any to start with. At this point I have so many mods its tough to go through everything, but I may have to start just deleting/updating anything that has something to do with skin.  Or just try this s4pe, if its not too complicated to use.
clamman5 Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Open the problematic package file in s4pe, there will be a list of resources like thums, cas, rle2. Right click the rle2 (texture) file and export to dds. Open the dds file with GIMP and then export the texture as Dtx5 with Generate mipmaps enabled.  Back in s4pe right click the rle2 files again and import the corresponding dds files that have been newly given mipmaps.

At the moment i think it has nothing to do with defect packages. I can add the same clothes as freetime cloth or bed clothes and it works perfectly. That's what i tested so far. It looks more like the party and gala outfit slot is defect. I think this because even standard clothes from Sims 4 itself produce the same problem. Without tattos or custom skin or whatever. Only those 2 slots are totally damaged ? Thats my progress so far now but I still have no solution
lisajoy Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I`m having the same problem when my child aged up to a teen her clothes skin and eyes went all transparent, my setting are all on high, video card is up to date, its a Nvidia geForce GTX 750 Ti, my rig is an i7 intel 3.60 ghz,( I think) lol, I changed the setting in the sims 4 to high but did not help, she is not wearing any CC at all, please help wahhh
whatevuz Posted July 6, 2019 Author Posted July 6, 2019 I have found a solution by removing file called "megary_naturalcolorseyeset.package".
Kentvrio Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 I am having the exact same problem, but have never installed that .package file. Do we know what about the file is corrupting, and if other mods do the same?

What i did is just move half of the mods to another folder, start the game, if its fixed you know one of those mods is the problem. Then just move half of them back in, see if the problem comes back, keep narrowing it down using this method. Worked for me.

Thankfully, the temporary fix of 'delete and remake' the outfit is working for the time being.
