ciostek Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Hello, there is freezing in my skyrima, drop in fps from 60 to 54, although I do not have any mods installed. My computer: GTX 1070 Ryzen 5 2600 Ram 2x4 vero l2 500w Skyrim installed on the SSD drive. I also have a question if I would buy skyrim SE or if it would not have problems with LE Â
swuggles Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 That's very strange. I have a system similar to yours (Ryzen 5 1600, GTX 1060). Is this a clean install of Skyrim? If it is, then I suggest downloading BethINI, and using it to optimize your INI files and see if your freezing/stuttering persists. I think your problems may be related to the VSync used by the game (it caused me problems too), but I might be wrong. ?  As for your question about Skyrim SE, I'm guessing you're asking about overall stability when modded. I can vouch that it's much easier and much more stable to mod than Skyrim LE. Skyrim LE can be very unstable with lots of mods, unless you take the time and effort to play around with stuff. For me, I run Skyrim SE with about 500 mods and get absolutely no CTD's.Â
ciostek Posted June 16, 2019 Author Posted June 16, 2019 Unfortunately, disabling VSync did not help.
Howarde Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 With the vanilla game without mods and my specs (ryzen 5 2600, SSD, gtx 1070 ti, 32GB RAM, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC) the game was laggy on ultra preset in the launcher. It was stuttering without reason. What helped me a lot was the installation of ENB and BethINI set on High+tweak, the last part was "Ultimate" on the power plan for windows (it does something for the processor), but for the last part I still don't know if it is a placebo or not.
Grey Cloud Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 6 minutes ago, Howarde said: What helped me a lot was the installation of ENB That is what helped. Specifically the ENBoost part is a memory mangement tool and it can be used without an ENB preset. Most in-game CTDs are caused by memory issues as Skyrim doesn't do it very well and the spec of your machine doesn't really matter that much unless the game is configured properly. You also need Crash Fixes. Bethini can help with ini settings but it is difficult to keep track of what settings it changes. I use it myself but with caution.
