orgs1n Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 I picked up this SE conversion of Halo's tongues. The tongues look good but they're somewhat too high up the mouth. I tried altering the Z translation in NifSkope, but that doesn't do the trick in-game. The only effect that I see, is this skeleton related line dropping lower, while the tongue mesh stays at the same height. Left is the unchanged value for Z (117), and right shows Z edited down to 107. What am I doing wrong? Cheers, James
Seijin8 Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 Not near nifskope right now, but I think you want to right-clock on the trishape, select transform, use those values, and (maybe) apply after that.

Thanks for the tip! It didn't work, however. I tried it, got a message "On animated and or skinned nodes Apply Transformation most likely won't work the way you expected it.", clicked Try Anyway and yup, it didn't do anything I could see.
SpyVsPie Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 1: Use Outfit Studio and select "move", then lower the Z axis, export to Nif and overwrite the original, much more "plug and play" 2: Even the "E" tongues are too low? I find E is usually good for wide open mouths and C or D for closed. A and B are way too high generally.

Make sure you don't have another copy overwriting it, or that the model you are working with is actually the one in game. Moving it should have some effect.

Regarding the "E" tongues: this isn't Halo's mod, but a repackaged version with just one "height" and some additional textures.

It doesn't matter though, I managed to do it in Outfit Studio. A bit more cumbersome, but it worked. Thanks for your help!
