SOS and Live Another Life - Spawn Naked and CTDs

Having a problem with SOS v1.1.1 and Alternate Start - Live Another Life causing my character to start naked and CTD when opening inventory or going outside.

After loading into the abandoned prison, I choose "patron at an inn" and then "riverwood" as my starting area. When I use the bed, LAL teleports me to the inn, adds a bunch of stuff to my inventory and unequips my armor leaving me naked. I think the problem is that I start with a "Roughspun Tuinc" in the prison but when I get teleported, I have an item called "clothes". Without LAL, SOS leaves me in the "Roughspun Tunic" and without SOS, LAL will auto equip the "clothes".

Here's an interesting quote from the LAL mod's included documentation:

The game crashes whenever I use the bed!

One known cause for this is using a body mod with a mismatched skeleton that's not compatible with it. When the bed is used, your character gets stripped of the prison clothing and your new equipment is added based on what you started as. It is this process that causes the issue when a skeleton mod that doesn't match the body is used. Something to do with bones the body mod is looking for that the skeleton doesn't have.

As I mentioned above, I have a problem where the clothes aren't equipped, not a CTD. It does seem to be an issue with the skeleton though.

Sometimes when I open the inventory to equip my armor, I will CTD with no error log. Other times it will allow me to equip the armor but if I try to open MCM or my

magic to equip a spell, I will CTD. Also, I will randomly CTD when I exit the inn.

I've tried LOOT, I've tried manually changing load order. I've also tried using SOS alone (no naked spawn, no CTD) and LAL alone (no naked spawn, no CTD).

Skyrim: 1.5.73 SE

SOS: 1.1.1

LAL: 4.0.9

SKSE: 2.0.15

NOTE:

The CTD isn't consistent. Sometimes I can equip my armor and spell, save and leave the inn only to CTD when I try to go back inside. Also I noticed that SOS overwrites the XPMSE skeleton and I don't remember it doing that with Oldrim. I tried installing SOS without the skeleton but it didn't help.

Well, we cn settle the skeleton question easily enough. Run FNIS. Then copy and paste the output here. It should start with a description of the skeleton that it recognizes and ends with the number of animations successfully loaded.

Thanks for the reply but I just finished checking all my mods and it wasn't actually SOS causing the CTD. I had installed a follower mod that was adding an NPC to Riverwood and when I chose that inn as a starting zone, it would crash as soon as I spawned. I forget which follower it was but when I removed all my addons and reinstalled them one by one, that was when I crashed.
