MoonSpot Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 TL;DR - can't find where in nifskope to change the slot used by asset. Expounded: Something I've done several times, quite awhile ago, but am having trouble doing now is changing the slots used by a piece of armour/clothing/jewellery. In the past I'd used xEdit to change the slot(s) used in BOTH armour and armour add-on, and also mimic that change on the mesh itself with Nifskope. Right now I am trying to 'fix' Some Equippable Tattoos - [https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10231] - so that is won't conflict(as much) with Devious Devices. EquipTats uses slots 55-59. Thats a no go for plugs from DD and piercings from AOM(The Art of Magicka). Now I can change the 2 spots in xEdit, but can't find where in nifskope to change the slot. I keep looking through the list but don't see anything resembling what I need and hope its one of those 'can't see the forest for the trees' things. Does nifSkope not do this anymore (I'll forgo the endevour if I have to use CK now), or are the nifs for this mod in particular just weird?
Seijin8 Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 If you are only playing Skyrim, then you really don't need body slot data at all. It is called "BSDismemberment" for a reason. Your best best is to switch it to NiSkinInstance so you don't have to screw with it again. (right-click -> Block -> Convert) And it is under the NiNode -> NiTriShape -> BSDismemberment
MoonSpot Posted May 30, 2019 Author Posted May 30, 2019 Ah crap. I didn't post this in SSE tech support Must've got turned about while searching for answers. Reported thread. So, if NiSkinInstance is there instead of BSDismemberment (which it is), I won't have to worry about slots and just have the esp/esm handle it for the game?
