Wicked Whims not working

The mod is listed in the mods list, the NSFW skins are clearly working, i do not get any errors, and yet in game there is no indication at all that the mod even exists. I have downloaded and used the mod before with no problems. Game is up-to-date, mod is the latest version, as i have redownloaded it today. there is no chance that old game files are still around as i basically did a clean install today. I've gone through all the troubleshooting guides i can find, nada. Please help?

Ok.....only 1 folder deep in mods? you've put it in documents/electronic arts/sims 4/mods?

yep. i've checked this at least three times.

Ok....have you tried the awkward way? remove WW delete localthumbcache. pkg file and start a new game.....exit without saving and put WW back in the mods folder...delete localthumb etc etc and restart the game.
