"Sexy" Rooms

I'm curious if Anyone has considered like Orgy Halls for the backgrounds of their leaders? I'm curious on other peoples thoughts.

That would be a nice idea. I even considered creating some rooms at one point, but I have so little time, that in the end,  I just forgot about it.

I'm in favor of this. Orgy room, fetish room, harem room, porn-cave room, even an old-fashioned 'pink love room'. Lot of possibilities.

I'd like a slightly more lewd version of the vanilla slaver room. Or at least less.. "evil" than it currently looks.

Personally (can't speak for everyone here), I prefer more subtly lewd things than in-your-face (innuendo intended) lewd things.

I'll look into do this. I have to admit. It may take some time. I'm quite Lazy. But I guess I'll do this. It will probably be like a month before anything is actually done. I would Like suggestions on content. What Kind of Fetish rooms, would people want. Should I make it possible for AIs to use them(In case someone doesnt like the content of one of the rooms.) Any other input would be nice.

I'd like to hear some advices, because after searching for the vanilla room pics, I found it pretty difficult to make a lustful one.

Here is my train of thought: There are 3 kinds of room pics in game,

1. Room with window (for regular empires)

e.g.

 

As you can see, I used a screenshot instead of saving it as png so that you can see the layer logic - the portrait of the primary species stands on the left, and their city along with the planetary terrain should be seen through the giant window. 

 

2. Room with window (for enclaves)

 

This is the graphic of space trader enclaves. Like the last one, the primary species also stands on the left. But since enclaves are spacebound, you can only see celestial bodies through window.

 

3. Room(?) without window

 

 

The upper image is the swarp room and the latter one is somewhere in the Shroud. These "rooms" do not have windows for obvious reasons.

 

 

 

Since we have learnt the three kinds of room images in game, we can see that regular rooms only consist of a wall and a window, and the camera is only 10 ft from the wall, tops. So how should modders add lustful elements on such limited space and area?

 

Chained sex slaves? - It would be confused with the main portrait standing in the front.

 

Oil paint of an orgy? - I seriously doubt whether players could recognize it. 

 

Torture devices and sex toys? - That's a little beyond the concept of lustful and involved with fetish. Some people(like myself) are not that into BDSM.

In my opinion, that first room looks like it could do well with some naked statues or something, maybe engraved into the pillars? With a nice busty.. bust instead of that tablet?

 

And that second room could use something similar as well, but perhaps something a bit more.. Gotham styled? Not sure how I would explain what I mean by that.

 

As for the 3rd room, perhaps some women of misc species trapped in pods of sorts, with tentacles or something perhaps?

But the warp thing? I am not sure myself.

 

Those are my suggestions at least.

For my two cents, find some tastefully erotic, classical artwork, and replace the windows with a framed version.

 

Maybe something like these:

 

Bonus art points if you know which one was a prostitute. Spotting the mythical act of bestiality won't be hard, so no points there.

Any pictures on the wall would not need to be detailed to convey their general idea. You don't really need to see nipples to recognize a pinup, the posture of the body is generally sufficient. Same goes for statues or any other artwork. The point is to convey a general sense of what the room is used for, an atmosphere of sexiness as opposed to porn that the viewer can directly whack off to.

 

There's also the possibility of showing just how sex-obsessed a species might be by altering the landscape in the distance... aka 'drawing on the bathroom stalls with a million tons of dirt'.

This is something I prefer myself, subtle but clear.

Honestly, could have an orgy or gangbang behind that window- Would look like the leader standing in front of the room was observing some lewds outside the window in another room, or something.

Problem is, that isn't room art, that's city art.  Not that I'm objecting... sexy city might be interesting, though I don't know if a gangbang type of scene is possible.  Maybe like a redlight district, though?  Love Hotels, neon signs?

Well, from what I've seen, they can make a room into just a picture.  Take a look here:

It's just basically backgrounds for your character.  Some of them even have soldiers, or armies marching, or ships hovering about in the background.  Some are even the "rooms" from the vanilla game, with a background behind the window- like overlooking a cyberpunk style city.  Really neat stuff.  I've always thought about finding orgy hall pictures or slaves in the background.  From what I've read, you can even tie certain rooms to certain races?
