besina Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Hi! I downloaded RJW and extracted/loaded it into steam/steamapps/common/rimworld/mods/rjw All the data was extracted right in there, not into a sub folder. The problem I'm having is when I load the game and go to the the menu and hit the Mods tab, I see no place to activate it - it's simply not on the list, and there doesn't seem to be a button to add anything. Here's a screenshot. What am I missing? Across the bottom those icons are for: Mass Unsubscribe, Get more mods from Ludeon, Get more mods from Steam, Reset to Core only, Create local copies of all mods, Manage mod lists. And these next five don't show up on the screen cap but they're there: Change mod color, Create a local copy of one selected mod, Unsubscribe from mod on Steam, Remove mod from a mod list, Add mod to a mod list (that last one looked promising, but as the mod isn't even showing up, I can't do that). Thanks so much for your help!
Lux_05 Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Make sure you have the RJW folder in the actual rimworld/mods folder and not rimworld/mods/rjw then rjw_1.9.9h aka it should be Rimworld/mods/rjw_1.9.9h and in there should be folders like about, assemblies, defs etc. if it's not on the ingame list it's not detecting it properly. Edit if you like pretty pictures more: https://i.imgur.com/R2UINPF.png https://i.imgur.com/VUaPrbD.png https://i.imgur.com/UwFUpPn.png also as a side note the multiplayer mod on github for some reason speeds up loading times when you eventually get to the 2+ minute load times. also edit: replace the version number with 2.0.1 heh I didn't realize update was out.
besina Posted May 15, 2019 Author Posted May 15, 2019 Aha! The directory path was indeed part of it, but actually because my husband has Steam loaded on both the C and D drives (?why?) The one that's actually running is on D, so thanks for the help!
Lux_05 Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 ah the ol multi-drive install shenanigans, steam shouldn't be installed on both drives (unless he's got a very good reason) however if the C drive is an ssd it's likely he's got the steam install on there but directing the games to the D drive which is likely a harddrive with far more space, least that's my setup. ssd=super fast speed but not much space (unless ya got the munz) if you have one your operating system is on it harddrive=loads things slower but has oodles of space, which is where most things should be installed, anyway, have fun.
