Orc War Chief (only available to male Orcs)
After completing the quest ‘The Cursed Tribe’ you can invoke the Code of Malacath and challenge Gularzob to a one-on-one duel to rule the Largashbur tribe.  He has no choice but to accept..honor and all that...

All of your gear is stripped and you are teleported to an arena.  A complete set of Orcish armor and full assortment of Orcish weapons will be provided for you.  Your Dragon Shouts will be disabled and your Magicka is reduced to zero; you can only use your combat skills and Berserker Rage.  You then fight to bleed-out stage.

If you lose, you are stripped of Volendrung (you weren’t worthy after all) and the quest line stops.  You are teleported back to Largashbur and all of your gear is returned.  You’re done.  If you win you are the new chief of Largashbur and the long house can be used as a player home.  You can also claim any one female as a 'wife' for that stronghold.

After claiming Largashbur you can do the same thing at the other 3 Orcish Strongholds; defeat the current chief, claim his longhouse and one female.  If at any time you lose the arena match you are stripped of Volendrung and any chief positions you might hold.  Any females you’ve claimed will also leave you.

After claiming all four strongholds you can declare yourself War Chief.  This will unlock trade between the strongholds with you getting a share of the profits as leveled gold each month as ‘tribute’.

Some positive world events could be unlocked as well;

  • 10% discount with vendors in the stronghold.
  • Bands of orc hunters will start visiting to trade meat and furs.
  • Move Orc NPCs from one stronghold to another, provided there is a bed for them to sleep in.
  • If the stronghold has a mine, mining output can be increased one time.

Some negative ones could be;

  • If you have more than one female in a stronghold they will want to fight to the death to be ‘the first wife’ of that stronghold, so keep them separate.
  • A band of Orc hunter/bandits is causing problems with the local Nords and you have to put a stop to it.  If you don’t a large force of hold guards will attack the nearest stronghold and kill all of your orcs.  And you’ll get a 1000g bounty on your head.  If the stronghold has a mine the Nords will occupy it and it's lost forever.  If the stronghold doesn't have a mine it can be repopulated but your reputation is fucked.  Failure to deal with the troublesome Orcs will automatically trigger 'The Challenger'.
  • 'The Challenger' Once in a while a new Orc will show up and challenge you to a ritual duel.  If you lose, you lose control of the stronghold where he challenged you and he will be the new chief.  His first act will be to claim your female and exile you.  Word of this will spread and either the former chiefs will want a rematch or new Orcs will show up at the other strongholds to challenge you.  You can go back and challenge any chief that’s replaced you after a cool-down period (say, 1 week).  If you lose all four strongholds Malacath will strip you of Volendrung and you can never be War Chief again.

For the ritual arena combats; any Orc you fight will be re-leveled to match yours +2, with a minimum of level 10.  They will use always use Berserker Rage at the start of the fight and they will have leveled perks for heavy armor, block, two-handed and one-handed.  They will also have a ‘kill the player’ AI package that makes you the target, so even with Sneak at 100 and being invisible when crouching won’t help.  The AI package will make them find you.  The fights will be quick and brutal.

The Dunmer Mabrigash (only avaliable to female Dark Elves)
Female Dark Elves with both the Novice Destruction and Illusion perks will be contacted by a mysterious Ashlander Dark Elf witch.  In exchange for one human male (Nord, Imperial, Breton or Redguard) she will mentor you in her craft.  If you refuse that’s it; she’ll leave the game world and never return.

If you accept and bring her the male (same game mechanics as recruiting followers into the Blades) the follower will leave your service and become her thrall.  When this is done she’ll conduct a ritual on you.  This ritual will give you a permanent buff of 10% poison resistance and all poisons you make will be 10% stronger.  It will also unlock a new Apprentice level Destruction spell ‘Spirit Snake’ (Absorb Health, Magicka and Stamina; magnitude 5) and the vanilla illusion spell Calm, if you don’t already know it.

When you take the Adept Destruction perk she will teach you a better version of Spirit Snake (Absorb Health, Magicka and Stamina; magnitude 10) and if you have the Adept Illusion perk she will teach you the new illusion spell ‘Entrall’.  This spell can be cast on any male active follower and it allows you to cast Spirit Snake on them without it being counted as a hostile attack.  The Entrall spell will also max out their Confidence and Aggression; they will protect you and attack all enemies with blind rage.  The downside to this is that it removes the protected/essential follower flag and the Spirit Snake spell CAN kill them; and they can now die in combat.  They will also refuse to leave your side.  They will still trade equipment with you but they cannot be asked to Wait and they cannot be dismissed.  You’re stuck with them until they die.

When you take the Expert Destruction perk she will conduct one last ritual where she has you kill a male follower in her presence using the Spirit Snake spell.  This will count as murder, btw.  Once that’s done she’ll teach you the final version of Spirit Snake (Absorb Health, Magicka and Stamina; magnitude 15).  This will also unlock her offering Destruction training up to level 90.

NOTE: Any version of this 'Spirit Snake' spell would be a serious drain on your Magicka if spell mechanics allowed the game to auto calculate the spell cost.  It would be outrageously expensive to cast and couldn't be used as a main offensive spell without plenty of enchantments to reduce Destruction spell costs.
