[REQUEST] Tips for making faces.

For the head/face structure itself:

1. Learn how to use racemenu's sculpt function, you'll get better over time.

2. If you're lazy you can search up some other people's racemenu presets and save their head sculpt. Don't worry about not having all the hair/eye mods etc for a specific preset, if you only want the head sculpt.

If you're wondering how to "prettify" your face, then just download some skin/eye/hair/etc mods.

And if you're still wondering why your characters look like shit compared to what you've seen others make, then you might want to download an ENB (ENBs are not downloaded like other mods, so please check how to download them thoroughly). My recommendation is Caffeine ENB.

Find a preset you like on either here or nexus, make sure the files are in the correct locations, there are quite a few on nexus where the files are not in the correct folder layout for the nif and jslots.

After that play around with the various settings, do not change them too much or too quickly racemenu can be quite slow to update the images and what you are seeing as you change values.  Only work on one bit at a time, do the mouth including makeup for it, get that how you want it, then export the nif if you used sculpt if not just export the preset, change the name and call it what ever you want and tag it as version 1 or no 1 or what not, then work on the next bit, eyes or what ever you want, when you are satisfied with that export again just changing the version number for both scupt and preset exports, keep going till you have what you want.

Do not forget as well quite a few of the images posted on various site are not game play setups for texture quality and such but are built specifically for screen shots, and that can make a huge difference in how they look on a game play set up.

Is also helpful if you can take some time to study faces. Try to discover what makes a face manly or womanly. For example, women tend to have smaller jaws and their chins have this round shape. Meanwhile, men have bigger jaws and square chins. Of course these rules can be broken, this is just generalization, but they give you a good starting point.
