horouboi Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 ok, i saved ada and got the beacon and went back to a settlement, red rocket and well... i made a robot workbench and well, there is no option to change anything on any robots... NO OPTIONS none, nada... so far the only thing i might have done to break the dlc is uninstall servitron without using the ingame uninstall... does anyone have a way to fix this? i asked at nexus and got no replies
Invictusblade Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 So you will need to do a couple of things. 1. Post your load order here 2. using FO4Edit, look inside the FormID List. DLC01WorkbenchRobotTopList & DLC01WorkbenchRobotTopListsublist see if anything is overriding it

I want to alter them in the creation kit that's why I asked. And sorry for asking here, I only did cause I figured you'd see it right away cause when I posted it you were here 1 minute before. But thnx I'll check this out.

horouboi Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 just checked my game and did the automatron mission up to when ada wants you to "install" the whatever and so i went to greygarden and built the robot workbench and its still broken, took a screenshot.... sorry about the random npc standing in the workbench.... -_- stupid npc but this is what always happens, even happens if i want to build another robot and before somebody says that i need to have parts to use it, the part that ada needs in the "special mods" is also not there :(
Invictusblade Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 here is the thing, I remember having an issue similar to yours but I cannot remember how I fixed it (in complete fairness, I have created and fixed so many problems with fallout 4) (but I think my problem was that the list was out of order and I was unable to build anything on special mods) now because automatron relies on having some blueprints from enemy robots, I am going to change tactics a bit so. do the following to check if parts of the mod works 1 type in console coc Qasmoke 2. in the QA room, find the Automatron DLC chest and take all of the mods 3. there should be a robot workbench there and use that because having the misc mods on you, allows you to bypass the blueprint requirements(I think) as well as the requirement for building them
horouboi Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 nope, picked up all the mods and everything.... nothing... starting to think this dlc is just screwed for me this time
walkin Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 7 minutes ago, horouboi said: nope, picked up all the mods and everything.... nothing... starting to think this dlc is just screwed for me this time I also think I remember something about the robot workbench will only work in certain settlements just for the ada quest, then you can build everywhere else. It might be built in the wrong settlement

I found a couple different references to them in creation kit but Im just not seeing any obvious ways to bring up its info to edit or really do anything with it. It doesn't really tell you much but I think that might be I just have to dick around and learn a little more about creation kit. It doesn't stick out to me like making a radio station or companion or changing a cell stuff, its very vague stuff it shows you. No files just random info shit- picture of holotape etc. So I'll keep messing around. Like I said before I just want to be able to change one of them into a custom one I can use (if possible) but I need to know what files it needs to make up the thing to begin with. You know shit like sound files video files how many there is what format shit like that. So thnx and if you get what I'm trying to explain- lol- and have any other thoughts I'd love to hear them. Just go to my post in creation kit help and we can continue there if you have any other suggestions or info and feel like sharing. Lol. I don't like to continue on here in someone else's post. Thnx again for earlier response.
Invictusblade Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 two things now. turn off all of your mods(except start me up), start the game again (or load a save without mods) and repeat the qasmoke steps above and if it works then save the game and introduce mods slowly until it stops working. and this is where is arcade games are located

Open in BSA browser. I'll take it from here. Just so you know I'm looking to make ms. pacman for myself. lol. Already have the arcade cabinet done. Last post here about this and thnx again.
horouboi Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11459/?tab=description this mod actually fixed the issue!!! Quote Attempt Robot Workbench Fix: This option will attempt to fix broken menus and race-leg misalignments in the workbench that are caused by improper uninstallation of AEC (and potentially other scripted automatron mods). While intended to prevent messing up other mods, I can't guarantee it won't. You'll also need to save and reload to make the fixes to AEC take effect. I did a quick test with a couple of list edits from a dummy mod and that worked fine but it was only a very small mod. Make sure to wait for the finished notification, this one takes a little while. It won't fix issues caused by improper edits to Automatron's order-critical formlist pairs. If using this to fix a bad uninstall you will need to repeat the uninstallation process, properly this time. Make sure to wait for the completion message! i did that and tada, working workbench!!! YAY!!!! thanks again Invictaxe, you taught me a bunch in this thread, thank you a bunch
