Let me remind everyone that, although LL is happy to serve as a clearinghouse for mod requests it will not be a part of piracy. Said piracy to include, but not limited to, evading paying mod makers through Patreon, et al. This Rule is not "soft" or negotiable. Anyone who does this is subject to punishment.

A combination of search methods: I use Google Lens together with a translator (Deepl or ChatGPT, depending on the case), as well as knowing which websites mods are usually found on. It's not perfect, but it works most of the time.

Do you have a 3DM account? If so how did you do it? I've been trying to set one up but they want a mainland China number to give download access. There are a few other mods I'm wanting to get from there but I'd rather not overly take advantage of your generosity.

I don't have a 3dm account, but there is a version of the page that lets you download files without an account, https://dl.3dmgame.com. However, as far as I've checked, there are only a few mods, and it's very difficult to find them. You have to do it in Chinese, not to mention that the page design is weird. What I usually do is search on Google or Bing and look at the results that lead to this page.

Oh nice, I haven't seen this site before. It's pretty rough to navigate, but a very useful resource. Thanks!

Makes sense, I try to do the same with mixed success, but Google image search just flat out rejects me sometimes, citing some guidelines violation -- I guess pictures of scantily clad female bodies are extremely dangerous for them to process somehow. Is Google Lens free from those restrictions?

 

The reason I asked about those 3 links is because I've never seen that site linked before, it's not one of the obvious / widely-known sources -- and I can't even figure out how to access it, the base domain (shwswl.cn) looks emptier than a desert. You have to be pretty resourceful to find direct download links in such an obscure place! You could teach the rest of us a trick or two, I think.

I used his method yesterday on the 3dm website. Basically: Found a mod on the 3dm site, highlighted the post title, used Deepl to find the relevant parts of the post title, dropped the relevant parts into a Bing search and looked in the results list for dl.3dmgame sites. This worked for 90% of what I looked for yesterday. You'll have to click through several of the download links on the page to find the one that is a direct download link, but they all worked for me.

Yep, that's exactly how I search for mods on that site myself. Something that helps a little to differentiate is to see if the logo on Google is a chick. If this little bird appears, it's the version of the 3DM site for downloading without an account.

 

And as you say, SweetrollInvader, Google Lens doesn't work for searching through NSFW images. What sometimes works is using the image search engine on yandex.com or Bing. They are less accurate, but they give different results.
