Wonko486 Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 So, I made a request in the request thread, and Fish0 was kind enough to point to functionally EXACTLY what I wanted. And I COULD NOT make it work. I installed through vortex, built the bodyslides, made DAMNED sure everything was building properly and the rules in vortex and load order were set. Load my game. Still wearing big, ugly, iron boots. Double check everything. The rules, moved the mod higher in the load order. Changed it's priority, double checked they activated. Load game: big, ugly iron boots. Installed the mod manually, made sure the mod was active and ordered through the game itself. Load up: BUIB. Gave up. Removed mod. Wasn't worth the stress. Go about the rest of my day. 10 hours later, sit down to play: load my game and realized they were big, ugly iron boots from the book of UUNP, and not the vanilla boots I was trying to replace. So yeah, I must be getting damned good at modding to make a simple mistake like that. Anyone else ever felt like a complete and utter idiot when trying to mod?
Aylis Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 After starting to mod Skyrim i very often had a CTD. I installed and removed mods, redid DynDOLOD several times with separate settings, checked and rechecked meshes, all the good stuff for four days. But nothing helped... It simply was that i ran out of memory as i had set my systems swapfile manually. Had i just checked the error logs of my system earlier. Sometimes tuning your system is detrimental.
