Reginald_001 Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 MALE VOICE TALENT NEEDED FOR COMPANION IVY You are to voice the infamous Dr. Stein's holotapes for the Nuka World Expansion pack for Companion Ivy (a.k.a. Insane Ivy). Voicing the good doctor, you'll not only become an infamous voice actor, well known and heard by many players, you will also have some nice work for your resume and most of it's.. pretty safe for work. What can I offer? Nothing of monetary value. Proper crediting. You'll do it for love of the mod and the characters in it, as I do. What do I expect? I need someone with a gruff, older, voice. Preferably with a GERMAN accent, or someone that can do it well. It should not be a comical accent, it should be a proper german sounding older man. That you will be AVAILABLE IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE (e.g. 6 months) for additional recordings should it be needed. There will be 10 holotapes in total, and I expect the doctor to eventually have around 100 lines. If you are interested, please reply in this thread with two small AUDIO SAMPLES with the lines provided below: If I decided that 'you're the one!'.. I will then provide the actual materials and background stories (which are not to be shared of course) through a PM. Scene 1 / Audio Sample 1 (4 lines): Doctor Stein recites one of medical experiments. - It should be clear from this recording what's happening.. as soon as I attach the human brain, it's consciousness loop takes control. - This results in an immediate identity crisis and.. apparently.. perceived physical pain. Both are unwanted outcomes. - I have therefore concluded that a counter consciousness is needed, in the form of an A.I. to both regulate memory, emotion and pain receptors. - An additional memory archive and censure programs should filter out any undesirable behavior and emotions. Scene 2 / Audio Sample 2 (5 lines): Doctor Stein speaks about the attraction he feels for the synth body. (excerpt 1: Beginning of holotape) - I admit.. I find myself missing her more and more each day.. I don't know how much longer I can wait. - The body has been ready for weeks now. She is a perfect resemblance of Rosa. It was the only template complete enough to synthesize a body from. (excerpt 2: At the ending of the holotape) - For any personal identity to take shape, the body image is the most important thing.. it's like when your teeth is pulled.. - Now imagine that feeling after receiving an entirely new body.. I have no idea what that'll do to her.. - I'm ashamed to admit.. the body is.. attractive.. WARNING (Because I score very high in the trait 'agreeableness' on the big 5): I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE IF I DO NOT CHOOSE YOU AS VOICE ACTOR FOR THIS MOD. IF I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PICKY TO BEGIN WITH I WOULD HAVE VOICED IT MYSELF. I AM JUST SEARCHING FOR A VERY PARTICULAR SOUND SO IF OR WHEN I SAY 'Sorry not really what I'm searching for' IT DOES NOT REFLECT HOW I FEEL ABOUT YOUR QUALITIES AS VOICE ACTOR.

You'll find that a lot of them list their tech equipment and indicate if they have a soundproof recording room, which you want to find because... no ambient noise, no reverb. In your shoes, I would filter the talent search by MALE voice and NSFW keyword, just to be sure you will only get the kind of people that will have no issues with what they record.

Thanks I'll take a look. I'm hoping to find someone within the LL community though.. to keep it close to home.

Anyway.. went on Casting call and sent some emails. People don't really know Ivy so it's hard to get anyone interested. Perhaps.. I'll ask my dad to just do this. He sounds old enough and might have the right accent. Again.. I'm still waiting for ANYONE that can help me out. A German accent is NOT a must have. If you have a gruff, older, voice I'd love to hear anyone give a stab at the lines.

I know a lot of you would have the voice I'm looking for. Just a proper english speaking person, the German accent is not a must.. It's not a lot of lines either. I expect no more than about an hour of work or so..
