I started off downloading recommended packages from the various mods and animations I found on here, and I wound up going deeper and deeper into the body replacement rabbit hole. I *think* I'm only running Better Body right now. But somewhere in my Documents and/or Downloads folder I have Eve, cmar, Dumbaby, Necrodog, and UNerd packages. Some are sliders, others are body default replacements, others are just particular parts. I've been told Better Body is deprecated, and I should no longer use it. If that is the case, what's the optimal lineup of default body replacement packages? Are the cmar sliders okay to keep no matter what? The packages marked CAS are also okay to keep? Anyone have a favorite set of feet? I'm not having many problems that I haven't been able to fix on my own, I just want to streamline the process and clean any gunk out of my old save files (old is relative. I've only been playing for about a month.)

I just use WildGuys female body & THISISTHEM & RemusSiron Overlays. I took a close-up screenshot in game of body (front & back), then took same pictures after taking BB out of my mods folder. there is no difference. *note- I'm only talking about female body, as i never used male BB file. ?

I tried taking it out of my mods folder before i wrote my comment and it made all bodies invisible. could be a fuckup somewhere or a dependency on the BB files, but having the files made it work again so i assume that it does something?.

Yea, sounds like you have a conflict with something else. It shouldn't make them invisible, that usually means out date/bad cc. I can tell you that Wildguys details works without BB though, as i use all his mods without issues. so it must be another body mod conflict. trust me though BB hasn't been updated for ages, it don't work. other poeple on here have discussed this on other threads. hope you can find the problem though. ?

Deleted it now and it works fine, guess i must have missed a file before. Comparing it really looks like it does nothing, thats good to know. Are there any higher poly meshes for the lower half, though, besides HD feet?

Why, are you having problem's with the necrodog HD feet? You need to use version 5 though as version 3 doesn't work properly anymore. Only other i can think of off hand, is the untraditional nerd feet, but i don.t know if that still works. Maybe R-Lo could help you find another feet mod.
