sexlab strip item editor not working... still

OK so i tried to get help for this exact same issue, but no help could be found. and the thread is now dead, plus i took a break from Skyrim since but whatever

in short my issue is with the "strip item editor" (screenshot is of the tab in MCM) before my issue i could click on the clothing items and cycle through options such as "never remove" "always remove" and the default "---". But now when i click on the clothing (or press enter) it doesn't change from "---" i have no idea why this is doing this, as the issue arose randomly, (i didn't even install any new mods, it just stopped).

last thread the response i got was "only works during animations" but they missed my point, yes the items only strip during, but i cant change the settings of the strip before, like i could before the issue.

i have tried a fresh reinstall of sexlab and all its affiliated mods (basically all of my mod list) to no affect, and its rather annoying to see that i'm the only one with the issue, any ideas at all??20190319235210_1.jpg.f545ace7b6ecf79888e27ae630eae1ae.jpg

Since SexLab works without this sort of issue for millions of people it is safe to assume that the issue is on your end. It is almost certainly one of two things. Either you don't have all the necessary requirements (or their requirements):

Spoiler

----- Requirements -------------------------------------------------------------

Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) REQUIRES SKSE 1.7.3 OR NEWER

Fores New Idles in Skyrim (FNIS) REQUIRES FNIS 5.4.2 OR NEWER

  • FNIS Creature Pack version 5.2 or newer is required only if you want creature animation support in SexLab, otherwise it is not required.
  • If you get a warning in game about not having 5.2 installed despite having installed it. You have without exception, installed it incorrectly. You can either ignore the warning and keep using SexLab like normal if everything working anyway, or do the smart thing and figure out what's wrong with your FNIS install so the warning will leave you alone.

SkyUI REQUIRES VERSION 5.0 OR NEWER

  • If you dislike SkyUI for some reason, you can also install SkyUI-Away on top of it.
  • It may work fine with older versions if you refuse to upgrade to 5.0 for whatever reason. You do so at your own risk.

An actor skeleton mod such as XPMSE2 or XPMSE3

Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Patch OR the individual applicable patches Skyrim, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfire Unofficial Patch

  • This is not a hard requirement and can be skipped, it has been known to fix some problems people have had related to SexLab however and there is little to no reason to not be using them anyway.
  • If you choose to not use the Unofficial Patches for whatever reason, expect to be browbeat about not having them when posting your load order in the troubleshooting section.

or, you have one or more mods that are interfering with SexLab. To help you check that out you need to post your load order (preferably from LOOT and preferably in a spoiler).

I have exactly the same problem.

the only other time I tried to get help with it, I received nearly an identical answer to a question I didn't ask.

Since my original question, i moved to another computer, and did a complete reinstall. and...it worked again! for about 3 weeks. then it stopped again, and never worked again.

No, I don't want someone to create a patch or fix it for me. I've modified about half the mods in my game, it most likely wouldn't work.

I want someone who understands how it works...because they wrote it, or worked on it extensively.... to give me a idea where I can look to see why it is doing this. it's the only part that doesn't work perfectly. And it's just under the annoyance threshold that makes me go insane and spend weeks tearing it apart.

I am sorry for bumping up an old post but I just installed SL today and I also have the issue of the Strip Item Editor not working. The "---" that appears next to each item is non-interactable. I have all SL requirements. I am also using SL with SL P+ installed.

I have done some actual searching using Google and this thread is the first thing that shows up. Unfortunately there is no solution for this available.

I fixed it by removing sexlab cumoverlay extended
