Skyrim SE for Beginners - V 3.2.6 (3BBB / HDT-SMP / HPH)

Recommended Posts

Two days without Skyrim were great. I've been on it almost 24/7 for two months now... So i definitely needed that. Plus FO4 required ~24 hours to download and then update everything.

Btw. i thought AAF was more complicated - now it seems that the CF in Skyrim is the big problem. Disregarding the small problem with the SM, AAF now works pefectly and i even got the keymap working. The hard part is that FO4 looks worse (and i tried a lot) than our Skyrim.

@trgdolors

Go with the 'lite' version. Got to add that to the list. Done

'Mari's Flora' seems to have changed a bit. Will update the entry once i got it myself. Done

Less Ugly Tundragrass and Less Ugly Tundragrass - Redder Variant now get overwritten by Mari. So those can be removed. Done

Had to remove FM Labor as it had a hidden conflict with the patch.

Updated the list and the last status update with the required changes. Done

Have to bother you professionals a little bit with several questions...

1. Is it ok that i have several conflicts, named: overwrite loose data?

2. Should i merge every patch/hotfix with the main order? For example Better Dynamic snow?

3. Nemesis...

3, Create your 'FNIS Output' from overwrite and activate it

          4. Now deactivate the main mod for FNIS and activate Nemesis

          5. Run the update.

          6. Now select 'Jump Behaviour Overhaul', 'Movement Behaviour Overhaul' and 'TK Dodge' (works for SE as well) in the list.

          7. Let Nemesis run through

          8. Create your 'Nemesis Output' from overwrite, activate it and let it overwrite 'FNIS Output'

          9. Done

I wonder how these points from the guide work, i linked FNIS to MO2 and installed it. Can run the User exe. but then? How do i create a Output from Overwrite?

1- I really dont have that much on mine but i dont know alot on that regard-

2- The idea its to rename them unless the guide tells you to merge, why? because if something breaks because of the update it will be easier to notice/troubleshoot.
For example: Main mod1.     Main mod1 -Update.     If the guide tells you to merge the update into the main mod, do it, if it dont and it have its own entry on the list, despise being the same mod, then you should do the same and have it with his own entry on the list.   How? just give it a different name to the main file.

3-its really simple:

1- make sure your overwrite folder its empty-
2- DEACTIVATE nemesis. (untick the check mark)
3- ACTIVATE FNIS (if it wasnt active)
4- Run FNIS until it finishes. (yes, select 'Jump Behaviour Overhaul', 'Movement Behaviour Overhaul' and 'TK Dodge')
5- R click on the overwrite menu > create mod> name it Fnis Overwrite, or output or anything you want.
6- Activate the mod you just created.
7- DEACTIVATE FNIS (just fnis, nothing else)
8- ACTIVATE NEMESIS
9- Open nemesis, mark Jump behavior Overhaul and Movement Behavior overhaul> Click on "update engine" for me that takes 30 secs > Click *lauch nemesis*, let it finish
10- Right click on overwrite folder > create mod> name it "nemesis output" (or overhaul or yadda yadda) > activate it.

Now the animations from FNIS are controlled by nemesis, and all the work has been now done.

Most of the time when you touch anything that haves animations you need to do this once more.

Out of curiosity, if my Body Slide preset (also clothes) haves both SMP 3BBB and 3BBBA support, wich one should i build?  I always use 3BA because i guess its better but i never actually thought if its *really* good.

Edit: and some clothes on Bodyslide looks fine whit 3BA, but with clothes tagged with SMP3BBB the breast go missing (yet the clothes retain the true shape of the breast)
Not really concerning since i can just skip all SMP but still.

Thats intentional. Some mods got a solution, but another one is better in that regard and should overwrite the first mod. Finding a good mod isn't hard, finding the (imo) best combination and LO is the difficult part. You don't want to know how much time i spent on getting the water right, or the trees, or...

And when an update to a mod gets released i have to recheck 'a few' things. Thankfully 'Mari's Flora' was an easy one. But i already had two updates where i had to rebuild half of the list.

Did anyone ever convert the FOMOD options listing for the April 12 version of Mari's Flora?

Quick question re: LL for the veterans here:

Is there a way to automatically or easily "expand all" in these forums?

Sometimes I appreciate stuff being squeezed into spoilers, but sometimes I want to search for a keyword and need to first go through and "expand" everything.

Thanks!

So no easy way anyone knows about?

hey I'm currently following this guide (currently working on the textures section) and I have a few questions,

1. I'm downloading everything in order but MO2 is telling me a couple of the files are obsolete, should I keep them anyway?

2. do I run dyndolod after I install everything or should I do that before.?

3. when I run dyndolod, where in my load order should I put the various outputs?

4.  Can't seem to locate the "WPF JK Skyrim" patch, help me out please?

Thanks

1. You can right-click on a mod to go to its nexus page. You'll notice that some mods have many different version numbers listed for all their different files. If you're positive you downloaded the latest version of a mod (except in the cases where Aylis has specifically noted which older version to get!) and you're getting the obsolete message, you can safely right-click on the mod and select "Ignore this update." You'll still get notified for the next potential update that way.
2. Wait until after everything else is installed.
3. Make sure you follow Aylis's install instructions for dyndolod in post #3 VERY carefully-- it's all explained there.
4. Read the ENTIRE LINE of that mod-- Aylis wrote a very important note at the end!

very helpful thanks. but to go back to my first question, when I say obsolete I mean MO2 says that every single file in said mod is overwritten by other mods, therefor there's not point in having it.

and to go back on the WPF patch, I read the entire line but I couldn't find it on WPF's nexus page. its very confusing

oh you mean Redundancies?

Make sure your load order is the same as Aylis's-- do NOT use LOOT. The only redundancies you should have when you're done are Cleaned DLC (because you can't get rid of your vanilla DLC, obviously) and Fair Skin Complexion, which is a bit of a false flag since we don't actually overwrite the teeth in that texture.

im sorry but what about the patch? my smooth brain cant find it. its not on the nexus page.

thanks for your help though, i only have one redundant mod atm (Pine Shrubs Redone being overwritten by Mari's Flora) so maybe i just messed up the load order or an installer thing.

EDIT: WAIT IM AN IDIOT ITS IN THE INSTALLER, MY B

Oh interesting. I just added Pine Shrubs Redone and updated Mari's Flora myself and didn't notice that redundancy but I've got that on my end too. I think there was some talk about it earlier up the thread that I have to go back and read through, but I'd leave it alone until the mod is specifically moved/removed from the list.

edit: hope y'all are having a better evening than me

While we are on the subject, Pretty lips SE is made redundant by Vanilla Makeup HD. just an fyi

Is there any good way to safely backup the game along with all the mods, before reinstalling windows?

Thanks to you, I was able to create the perfect Skyrim and I couldn't be any happier, even though it took almost a week. Skyrim, as well as Steam and Mod Organizer are all installed on a drive other than C, but I'm still afraid of losing the game in its current form and having to start the modding again. Any advices?
