but what are you?

Posted

I know this song always rises my depression and the anger

Translation (probably not that good)

I'm sorry Willy, that I have to disturb you, in your well earned ,eternal rest. But so much things weight heavily on my mind and the conversations with you were so nicely impulsive, so not political correct. And many think as we two talked with each other. Only one does it no all too loud.

The country is intellectually and linguistically not longer recognizable.

There is war going on, and most recently it is also our war.

And I am of course as confused as everybody else and have no completed solutions at hand.

I simply need to speak with someone just once and will tell you how it's gone so far:

A few demented, deluded, brainwashed criminals have blown up the World Trade Center with tow airliners on September the 11th and slaughtered over 4800 people. Horrible.

So much sorrow. So much tears. Children that will never see their parents again. Surviving dependents, whose lives will never be as blithe as before.

Everyone mourns. Germany also mourns as never before, especially publicly and well-covered by the media.

A real sorrow management has itself developed there.

And there Willy something appears to me disconcerting

To me my fellow citizens didn't appeared so sympathetic over the last years. Nobody mourned publicly as 200000 Iraqis died in the Gulf War.

As millions of Africans  were slain and mutilated in Rwanda.

Sure, many say that all is far away and doesn't affect us so deeply, but would it be not now the time to take the terror as an occasion, to think actually for once?

Didn't we owe that to the victims more than of saber-rattling and the cry for revenge?

Or do we forbid us this contemplation, because it could force us to revise our literally redundant way of life? Maybe even change it?

Is the evil really always beyond ourselves?

Can it be fought with weapons?

Is Osama bin Laden now the devil or only a CIA-Agent out of control?

And if the evil were really exterminated with help of the NATO, would that not cause a deep identity crisis within the Catholic Church?

Cluster bombs and foods- is that the right way to make our civilization tempting to the so called uncivilized world?

Why, damn it, didn't we supply this poor country with food 20 years ago?

Which freedom do we defend now so vehement? That of the mind or only that of the free market?

And don't we destroy with always new anti-terror laws exactly that, wherefore our democracy should be with right defended?

Is one therefore anti-American because he you worry about the same things as before the 11th September?

Does this assault undo all crimes of the Bush family, the US foreign policy and the CIA?

God, I'm also against terrorism and no nation has the Taliban or the gang of murders from the North Alliance deserved as rulers, but did one have to arm them before?

All right. Elite Units to Afghanistan!

But why not also into the Deutsche Bank, the pharmaceutical companies, to Lichtenstein and onto the Bahamas?

Don't we have the best form of society, it is stated again and again and everybody nods moved, as not even the best system needs to be renewed again and again, as one not needs to be always ready to question his worldview

And how perfect is now this "best of all systems" really?

Only because in this country everyone does still well financially?

And what can you do against unrestrained gambling fund managers, against organized crime upon the biosphere, 30 million people who starve to death and several million children that are born blind because only of nutritional deficiency.

Who still fights against the state of emergency of the used nature?

No animal, no tree, no river, no sea has yet a value of its own. They are all devalued because they are no money

There is no right life in the wrong - do you still remember this Adorno, Willy? There is no island of happiness in a world full of sorrow!

Now they will say again: "Look at him, this moralist, the Wecker." But you are my witness, Willy, I hate the moral. Always when moral zeal is involved, one is trying to kill each other.

I just don't want to stop to search for the truth.

Supposedly nothing is as it were.

But it is further killed, tortured, lied and bribed, children are exploited to work on western noble brands, Children, the only really innocent victims, waiting further for their fathers and mothers, who will never come home again, will be shredded by mines, stagger with bloated hunger bellies towards the devastation...

And when now everyone sees, in the triumphal march of the murderous North Alliance, his confirmation of the campaign, there is no reason for reassurance and every war has its own deadly dynamic.

Five weeks of bombardment have created a gap between East and West that cannot bridged.

I also can no longer believe the selection of pictures I'm engulfed with. Which pictures of misery are faded out by pictures of exultation?

Before an enthusiastic troop of elite soldiers Bush boasted: this war is war is not over yet. They were just at the beginning of a long fight. And the alliance of those, who bring the world the evil, in order to free it from it, will now at every future war refer to the success in Afghanistan.

Another perfectly crafted mythos.

Man! Willy! I'm also glad for the jubilant people in Afghanistan, and wish them from the bottom of my heart that they will get the long awaited peace and liberation of the women.

But couldn't one stopped the weapons and money for the Taliban long before the 11th September?

Without cluster bombs with political and economical means.

As example when they were courted by the American oil lobby as business partners.

And now it appears to me there is no other escape as to keep on the shooting . The logic of war is always consistent. Especially for the winner.

First comes the war, then the fire is extinguished, then one let themselves celebrate as saviors.

How far will that go?

Iraq, Somalia, Libya, Algeria - maybe Pakistan as well?

The US-Americans make up less than 5% of the world's population and consume 25% of world oil production.

How unconditional solidary needs one to be with a country, that claim publically, that the oil fields of Central Asia belong to their vital interests?

Interests? Whose president only came to power with the help of petro-dollars? Whose intelligence service seriously in all seriousness thinks about to re-establish torture?

But Willy, I still believe, that one is not allowed to forget the principles of humaneness! Even when they are violated so nefarious.

Yet nothing has changed, Willy, since the 11th September.

Unless we change us

Everyone of us

Unless everyone of us recognize, that we as human beings, in which part of the world we may live by coincidence or which culture we may belong to by coincidence, are wholeheartedly responsible for the overall condition of the world.

We have contributed as well through our day to day live and are part of this monstrous society with its wars, its brutality and greed, and only if we recognize - not intellectually, but as we feel hunger and pain - that you and I are responsible for the whole world, we will finally act right.

Peace is not a condition between two wars. Peace is not purchase by victories This Peace - as the end goal of war understood - depicts instead of the true peace rather the final and lasting triumph of war.

You know it Willy, peace requires courage. Courage to the truth and courage to change one self.

Yesterday they buried Willy.

And he is slain again and again and again.

That was a lot of text..Thank you for reading

But what are you?

Posted

I know I live in a country that lost the ability of critical thinking, and the abillity to look beyond the own frontdoor (if it ever possessed it), but what are you.

Emily know that she was under attack by her mind last night. It was never been this intense before. Never underestimate mental illness, be a strong person and pray that you never have one because there is no beauty in sadness. No honor in suffering. No growth in fear. No relief in hate. It’s a waste of perfect happiness.
