So a myrid of mods let you lockpick while in werewolf/vampirelord forms and I found this somewhat unimmersive because lockpicks are in your inventory which you can't access in beast form.

My answer to this would be lockpicking with claws. Essentially any time you lockpick in beast form, instead of seeing the picks the interface would have werewolf/vampirelord hands with the claws jammed inside the locks.

Optionally you could even make it to where you only have 10 tries (for each claw), but IDK how cool that would be in practice.

This is an interesting thought but...why not go the more logical route?  Both Vampire Lords and Werewolves are exceedingly strong, yes? Why not do something that allows them to simply break the lock? I can't really see a 7' tall werewolf coming to a door and thinking "Hmm...It's locked. Guess I can't go in there."  No, they're gonna let out a bestial roar and bash the fucking door in. :)

To avoid the OP potential of this system, you can set it up to work based on the level of the beastform in question. Like a strength level, so to speak. A novice lock is obviously going to be easier to break than a master lock, so you would need to be a "higher level" werewolf/vamp-lord to break a higher level lock, and obviously "key required" locks would be unbreakable.
