sorry2botheru Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Hey all! I recently started playing Enderal: Forgotten Stories on Steam and installed SoS; I thought it was working perfectly because my character is schlongifed, but there's a problem - no other male characters are, in fact they're wearing underwear. I thought I'd messed up the installation process and triple checked, but the installation was done correctly; for some reason the SoS features are applied only to my character. Has anyone encountered this and/or know a fix? I installed SoS full (just the Regular) and am using an Enderal Compatibility patch. Thanks! SOS: SOS Compatibility:
sorry2botheru Posted March 6, 2019 Author Posted March 6, 2019 Sorry to doublepost! I fiddled around with the settings and found that in the MCM I can manually apply a schlong to an NPC, but by default they are set to "no schlong" for some reason. Is there a way to set it in the MCM so that all male npcs are schlongified by default?
prinyo Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 The patches need to be installed after SOS and if everything is correct all NPCs should get schlongs automatically. It is possible however that for the past 2 years some changes has been made to Enderal that would make the patches not work, I haven't tested it recently.
sorry2botheru Posted March 7, 2019 Author Posted March 7, 2019 I'm an idiot, I didn't read carefully on the SOS Enderal Patch page that the playable enderal race esp is needed as well in order to make SOS and Enderal compatible, I only installed the patch for the schlong addon I was using! I installed the playable race patch now and it works! Thanks!
djf13aus Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 I used the instructions above for using SOS with Enderal (2019 full release) and the SOS functionality (at least with the plugins I use) is working perfectly... thanks a lot Deedlez349! One problem is that the combat AI of human enemies is now, seemingly as a result, broken. My problem is identical to the one in the below reddit post - human enemies don't aggressively attack when one remains at a slight distance, so if they don't have ranged weapons they just stand there and let you fry them with fireballs or whatever. https://www.reddit.com/r/enderal/comments/5fw22b/combat_ai_broken/ According to one author in the above post, this is due to some sort of fault in the playablefix.esp file associated with the patch for Enderal playable races. One of the contributors on that page mentions a fix involving an addition of code to Update.esm: "[The problem] ... was a SOS Patch with made the Enderal and Starling Races playable to fix a bug. But funny enough, it was not the Change itself, it was the esp somehow. I added the playable flag to the Update.esm and it works now... I even tried removing the change from the playablefix.esp so its exactly like the Vanilla Game and it still was broken. Weird. ._." Being a non-modder this is all a little too terse for me however. Can anyone with half a clue in modding either recommend a fix for this by either fleshing out the steps described above for me, or posting a modified patch or whatever? many thanks in advance
prinyo Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Just a guess but can yo try to put the playeble fix esp file at the top of the load order, just after the last esm file and see if this helps.
djf13aus Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Thanks Prinyo i will try that in a while.... am rebuilding my mods from scratch now after an unrelated mishap destroyed my skyUI (possibly due to steam auto-applying the yesterday's Enderal 1.5.4.0 patch to my modded version of the game) but I will check your suggestion as soon as i can ?
djf13aus Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 UPDATE: I just tried Prinyo's suggestion of moving the playableraces.esp file to the top of the load order after update.esm but it didn't work (i.e. the human combat AI which was working without SOS on went weird exactly as before). Any help with this is much appreciated.
prinyo Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Seems there were changes made at some point that added more data for the two races. Here is an updated patch that is made with the current version that is on Steam. Just replace playablefix.esp that you have with this one: playablefix.esp

SOS stuff seems to work and there is no sign of human enemy AI freezes any more. Thanks so much for this Prinyo, you are a champion ?
Papajack55 Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Did you include Equipable Schlongs and Schlong Controllers and unp schlongs for female? Those are mandatory if your using for females. If for male then leave out the unp for females.

Thanks so much for this Prinyo, you are a champion ? Thanks so much everyone who's already posted in this thread... I'm trying to follow the path djf13aus laid out - 1. Install SOS full 2. Install compatibility patches 3. Install playable races patch But when I start a new game, I get a message that the SOS Vector Plus Regular patch is dirty, so the game does not load it. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way around this? I know I could install SOS Light instead, but then I can't get the Veteran skin to apply to the penis... Thanks for any help!! EDIT: I figured it out! Just have to load the VectorPlus Regular esp and the esp for the patch for it in EnderalEdit, and then edit the "error!" sections in the FormIDs to match each other.
