Welp, I suggest you use alternative mirrors like MEGA, Google Drive, Proton Drive, etc., if the romhack is apparently not okay to be hosted here just because of a minor text edit or whatever... 1

No it was a patch. I struggled trying to find a download for Mother 1, almost every google result was other patches for the rom but not the actual rom.

Honestly, I think what got the post taken down were the links I included; they were links to sources and other projects that inspired me to create the mod. Here you'll find both the normal mode, which doesn't alter the gameplay, and the easy mode, with 30% more XP and gold, plus 30% fewer random encounters. I recommend it if you want to avoid annoying grinding. Apply the patch to: EarthBound Beginnings (USA, Europe) (Virtual Console) Patch features: Spoiler - Sprite changes for the 4 protagonists + EVE - Changes to the sprites of all opponents in the game - Changes to some dialogues to accommodate the graphical changes - Changes to the amount of XP and gold, as well as the encounter rate (only in easy mode) - All the improvements from the Virtual Console re-release Disclaimer: This patch is meant to be funny and should not be taken seriously. The enemies also have overworld sprites, since Earthbound did its whole "enemies are actually on the map and you can avoid them" thing, though there might be an argument for not needing to edit ALL of them depending on the sprites. Whether or not someone makes a Lustbound hack for Earthbound a reality is not for me to say, im not well versed in rom hacking beyond making suggestions like this. 3

I've been hoping for a while to get a romhack for Earthbound that strips the whole party and Lustbound Beginning has increased that. 3
