Another Sprite edit made by the artist NeoValo

This time with the game "The Magic Candle" released only in Japan for the Famicon (NES), in 1989.

 

The patch includes:

• monster girls sprite edit for all the enemies (around 80, you can see every edited sprite in the "Bestiary (SPOIL)" file bellow);
• multiple overworld sprite edit;
• an english fan-translation for "The Magic Candle [Japan]".

Wow this game is fantastic. It has a day and night cycle which even works in dungeons! I thought I was going nuts.

 

Say I can't find any information about this game, I keep getting back to another magical candle game that's not this one.

I just had a treasure chest spawn in the southeast desert dungeon near the beginning and while I was spamming A, when it spawned I was nowhere near it. Is it tile based? And does it work in the overworld as well? Much appreciated for any info.

Learned to use Mesen-S to clean up some tiles. Still an unoptimized process but the sprites are more refined than my previous hacks.

Find the OG rom somewhere, use this ips patcher (https://www.marcrobledo.com/RomPatcher.js/), download the patched file, maybe rename it to distinguish it from the OG, and voila!

I have used the Japanese rom and a translated one but when I patch it it comes out with graphic errors

You have to have that specific version of the game. It's a USA rom.

The problem I have is not finding it, I can only find the Japanese rom or a translated one but not the US one.

I'm new to this thread but I'd love to say that I have this fascination with nude mods/hacks and always have, I wished I found this thread sooner and I'd love to see hacks for some PS1 games, like I've been wanting a hack for the original Dead or Alive on PS1 for AGES, also I really love all the work I've seen so far, especially the Blaze hack for Streets of Rage/Bare Knuckle

Hey! I haven't checked this thread in a while and I was surprised that my work actually inspired someone to make their own!

 

Thank you so much for your great work! After seeing your mod, I feel inspired to continue in my mod making journey.

 

So, here it is!

 

WARRIORS OROCHI 1 PASTIES MOD (USA)

 

 

GAMEPLAY:

 

 

So far, I only have two characters done: Noh and Xingcai, as I only unlocked two of them so far. I wanted to do a topless version at first, but drawing nipples proved to be too hard for me so I just decided to give them pasties.

 

I also include a blank texture for the "Full Musou" aura, so no more annoying blue light covering the characters whenever the musou gauge is full!

 

If there are any issues, such as the mod not working on certain stages, please let me know right away!

 

INSTALLATION:

 

Drop the "SLUS-21662" folder into [PCSX2 Folder]>textures
