StableBot Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Hi, I'm just curious if anyone encounter this problem before. I recently ungraded my boot drive to window 10, and was still able to play Skyrim that was locate on my other disk. Game was working fine for like a week now, until I Update FNIS Behavior, basically ran FNIS. I didn't install anything new, it just I found an NPC with T pose in a dungen, so I figure a FNIS run will fix it. (None of the other NPC have T Pose, or any problem) After that all save resulted in a CTD and so does new game. I try reinstalling FNIS, but now I have this problem "ERROR(5): Access to the path 'D:\steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\temporary_logs\DebugData.txt' is denied." When I update behavior. Yes, my skyrim folder is outside the steam folder. And yes I run FNIS through Mod Organizer with Admin. I have use FNIS many times before, it was still able to update when I was attempting to fix the CTD. It's after I reinstall through steam on my C drive and move it out to my D drive (where it has been for years now) is when this problem occurs. If anyone have any insight on how I approach this, it will be much appreciated.

When I update behavior. That is a MO problem. The way for solve it is empy the overwrite folder and delete the mod that store the Fnis data. Other option is enable the redirection in Fnis. Fnis change a lot thing, create and modify files in some folders and MO go crazy when Fnis want, at the same time, read a file in the mod Fnis(that have the executable) and change a file in the mod fnis data and write some files in the overwrite that must go to others folders. Simply clean/delete all the files that generate/use fnis and try again.

After I uninstall that, I still CTD when trying to load or start a new game. This problem was also solved when I drop a few animation mods so that I only have around ~9k. It's really weird because I have been running around with 11k for 52 levels (a week) without adding or removing anything. Something must have went wrong when I updated.

One problem have none relation with the other. Error 5 is an operating system error that say "Operation can not be completed" and is a problem related to the Virtual System used by MO. The error 5 is solved cleaning the fnis files. Other problem is the CTD by excesve animations and is very spreaded that, for now, the only solution is remove animations. Fore is working in a new version for control it, but until release it, we must remove animations for solve the CTD.
