MM CC without adfly links? + alternatives

I recently had to delete all of my (previously only alpha-) content for sims as it seemed to be causing issues on my PC due to plenty of the download links going through AdFly which I think was fucking up my pc.

Anyway, I decided to save space (and make editing photos easier) I'd just go with MM CC. I don't know myself how to make nice looking sims without alpha cc, but a few people on here have done that just fine so, maybe I can, too.

Where can I go to find sites that aren't through any adfly links?

I just remembered a hand overlay I love has an adfly link, anyone got this in their mods folder that wouldn't mind passing on the package file?

Just a quick note; I'm not sure if it was entirely the adfly thing or something else, all I know is my PC stopped messing up as soon as I deleted all the content I had downloaded for sims. Never had any issues with content from here unless it was offsite. I'm just an extremely over paranoid person about viruses and issues, especially because I use my PC for work as well as gaming.

Hm well, you could download Porky's world with all that cc. If ya get any conflicts, just check with http://modthesims.info/d/572482/ts4-package-conflict-detector-windows-only.html

Sites like adfly try this thing, where they trick people with popups, etc. If ya have a pop-up blocker, and let it refresh a few times until it opens SFS, you are good.

For Porky's world, you will get a MEGA cooldown, and have to leave tab open if ya don't have MEGA sync (free) or account hah...

Oh also just thesimsresource, etc. https://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/browse/category/sims4-hair/order/downloads/ They just make you wait.

I used to do that, I have a popup blocker and anti-virus running. I used to trick the trick and act as if my adblock was off then switched it on as soon as anything loaded up, clearly wasn't enough.

It's a shame, 'cause tons of simmer's use adfly to link their content, makes me wish they'd just use SFS (even though I recently discovered it has been down for ages, RIP-)

yes adfly is tricky and tend to make spyware/adware/malware scanners go crazzy.. im a former simmer.. my desktop died a horrible death and this laptop wont run sims

Damn.

It's sad, really. Sims is pretty great, (I have a very bad addiction to it honestly). I mostly use it to create my OCs or a sim and a ton of cats.

Hah yea SFS keeps going down, rip. Hm that sounds a bit off, adblock should always be on yea. There are some better than most, depending on browser.

I think you also get different ads by region. You could try opera browser + built-in vpn for region change (+pop up blocker hah).

Adfly bugs the shit out of me too and I find it helps to download via another device,

I hunt for mods on my phone or tablet,

The adfly seems a bit less targeted towards this area and occasionally I'll get the odd APK file to delete,

Nothing gets installed as my device is set to not install from unrecognised sources.

Then I'll drag and drop them to the computer via USB

Seems like it works for you. I could try that myself I have an unhealthy amount of USB sticks just lying around.

Like I stated before, I don't even know if it was entirely adfly, but as soon as I got the blue screen of death I sat at my desk paranoid as hell, I was seriously shaking and thinking about all the money I spent on Steam and Sims! (Recently dove into my madness and purchased Cats & Dogs) Just did not want to lose all of that money and never be able to use it all again.

I hope it works out for you! I have no trouble this way so far,

I did experience some blue screen errors myself a few months back, somehow I'd ended up with a spammy antivirus of some kind,

Something in it woke up a leftover file of McAfee antivirus which came preinstalled and was removed for something more favourable,

It definitely helps to keep your TRAY, SAVES, MODS backed up to something external,

Game files are replaceable and as long as you got those 3 folders, you'll always have a way back in
