Unknownghostlydunno Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Usually I don't find it too difficult to fix these, but I've been completely stuck on this one for hours. It has happened a few times before, but it only seems to do it on save files that I've been playing on for quite a while, starting a new game works fine. Basically, when loading some save games, for example the one I was playing on last night, the game gets stuck infinitely loading. This is what the exception file contained: <?xml version="1.0" ?><root> <report><version>2</version><sessionid>b87b0f6c55c40ffc5c6b1739</sessionid><type>desync</type><sku>ea.maxis.sims4_64.15.pc</sku><createtime>2019-02-18 20:37:49</createtime><buildsignature>Local.Unknown.Unknown.1.49.65.1020-1.200.000.379.Release</buildsignature><categoryid>continuous_statistic_modifier.py:57</categoryid><desyncid>b87b0f6c55c40ffc5c6b1739</desyncid><systemconfig/><screenshot/><desyncdata>Exception in Sim Timeline: Exception resuming Element (TypeError: add_statistic() missing 1 required positional argument: 'value') Traceback (most recent call last): File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\scheduling.py", line 217, in simulate File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\elements.py", line 385, in _resume File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\sims\sim.py", line 2553, in _startup_sim_gen File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\traits\trait_tracker.py", line 738, in on_sim_startup File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\traits\trait_tracker.py", line 645, in _add_buffs File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\objects\components\__init__.py", line 459, in exported_func File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\objects\components\buff_component.py", line 305, in add_buff File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\buffs\buff.py", line 974, in on_add File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\game_effect_modifier\game_effect_modifiers.py", line 76, in on_add File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\game_effect_modifier\continuous_statistic_modifier.py", line 57, in apply_modifier TypeError: add_statistic() missing 1 required positional argument: 'value' rtim=0</desyncdata></report> </root> I heard that "unknown.unknown" usually means an outdated mod, but my mods list is gigantic so if anybody can help narrow down what is causing this, I'd really appreciate it.

The only one I can think of really is MCCC, however I tried running the save without it, and downloading the latest version but the issue still came up. I'll look through the mods again with that in mind. Thanks for the suggestion anyway

Yeah, I tried looking through everything and taking out all of the major mods and anything that could be related to traits or buffs but it still just doesn't load. I suppose I'll just start a new game and just try to get rid of some old mods or something. I appreciated the help anyway. Something in the save might've got broken or something, therefore I can't load it, I honestly don't know at this point. I just hope that this won't happen again.

Remove all mods first. Hair, Makeup, Nails, and Clothing are usually OK to leave in. Remove the WW save folder too. Delete the localthumbcache.package Load your last save and test without any mods. Now save game and then re-install WW + animations only and test again. You may have to go through loading each mod and testing each until the bad one is found. Use 'save as' for each test to list what mod was tested. Forgot to ask...Do you have the Get Famous EP?

Edit: I have just tested the save without any mods, and it works fine. I'll try slowly adding them back now, gonna be a pain since I have around 1.5k. Edit 2: Since to be honest, I didn't want to have to go through every single mod, I deleted a bunch of ones I wasn't using, and some build mode objects I had on the lot I was using, and now the save that wasn't work is working. I'm not even getting an exception now. Still don't really know what the cause was, but it looks like I've managed to sort it out. Thanks again though, I probably wouldn't have gotten the save working without the help.
