ceruleanboar Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 Hey all, has anyone else seen an issue with the left butt having a mesh seam/gap with UUNP body meshes? It happens more when I have a butt physics mod installed such as hdt smp or cbp, but it's also noticeable without those. It's hard to get a good screenshot of it, but I did manage to capture it: When it happens, it can be worse than what's in the screenshot. I've tried messing with ENB/no ENB, various anti aliasing methods through ingame/nvidia/enb, though no luck. I also trying various textures, but it looks like a mesh issue rather than a texture one. This isn't an issue with the CBBE SE body or the TBD SE body, only UUNP. I also don't recall if this is an issue on Oldrim, it's been a couple years since I played that version. I seem to remember it being an issue... Has anyone else seen this, and is there any sort of fix for it? Thanks
27X Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 graybeard steps butt shelf and daedric hip are inherant to the mesh, and the fix is either retopologize to use existing uvs and maps or find a different body.
ceruleanboar Posted February 14, 2019 Author Posted February 14, 2019 For anyone who finds this post from googling or what not, I found a hack/fix to make the seam not noticeable. If you set the UUNP body mesh to double sided shading, the seam wont show as white, but it will show the skin on the other side (meaning you wont even notice it anymore). Here is a screenshot of a bikini armor's body mesh I tweaked with this fix: Remember to do this on both the _0 and _1 meshes. Also, in case it's not obvious, this was done in nifskope.
