LordArek Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Heyo, so basically, after certain time on some saves (no load order changes, no graphic changes etc.) my game starts to literally lose textures when entering the bannered mare or the warmaidens. Armors and Weapons either turn blank black or violet, some NPC's even lose facial textures and after some time, if I don't exit the area fast enough, the game CTDs. For now, it seems to only affect these two areas, I've tried entering other buildings in other cities and I was even able to play 20 or more hours on dawnguard and dragonborn, no issues whatsoever, but as soon as I enter those two buildings, bam, textures gone, game gone. Any suggesstions? Edit: Right now on my new game, started on a clean save, I'm not using aMidian stuff, the only graphic mods I have are ELFX and the mod that makes my enchantments glow. I still get the texture bugs. Nothing to do with your current problem but you are supposed to choose one of these. I literally copied the load order of this dude for shits and giggles a few days ago, and the only problem I had was exactly this as well. So I guess it's not a load order issue? The other thing - thank you, didn't know that, gonna fix that soon.

But I saved it for future purposes, since it looks very informative overall, thanks for sharing! Okay so, now that I've tried a bit around I may have found a solution. I disabled the official High-Rez Texture packs as someone on reddit suggested. And now I don't have missing textures in the bannered mare, warmaidens or belethors anymore, no matter how often I re-enter. I'll just play further and let ya know if that really was the problem, but since I haven't altered anything in the game previously and haven't had similar problems until this specific issue came right out of the blue, I highly doubt that the game setup was the main thing. (I mean, it worked like a charm for 2 years straight and only started conflicting when I used high-rez-stuff.)

The purpose of the S.T.E.P. guide link was for you to read and learn about modding Skyrim in general not to solve this particular problem. If you had read it you would have noticed that they don't recommend the Beth Hi Res packs (nobody does AFAIK).
