lindazana Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 the progress of my Souhait [spoiler=first nude patch] [spoiler=changin to CBBEv3] [spoiler=...and sent her to the gym ] Excuse me, but what mod is that lovely little lightstick you are holding from? And your boots? Both in the second pic. Both of those look delightful!
squints Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I remember the first mod I dled was no blocky face. Still to this day with all the mods around (and the .ini manipulation) I still can't anything that stops blocky shadows.
dobmc Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I remember the first mod I dled was no blocky face. Still to this day with all the mods around (and the .ini manipulation) I still can't anything that stops blocky shadows. Probably its because you're shadow resolution is low. Or something on the Skryimprefs.ini. Also depends on the video card your using. Did you try manually testing and adjusting the ini files?
squints Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 YA currently I use a 570 GTX+ and been using this .ini manipulation with the following [Display] iBlurDeferredShadowMask=2 <--------------------------------raising this (max 5) blurs the shadows at a distance fInteriorShadowDistance=2000.0000 <-------------------------------raising these will give you shadows at a further- fShadowDistance=1000.0000 <-----------------------------------------distance, but you will lose resolution up close. iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=4096 <-----------------------------half all "4096" values if you have FPS issues iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096 <----------------------------------(4096)-(2048)-(1024)-(512)-(256)-(128) ------------------------------- fShadowLODStartFade=400.0000 <----------------------------this value is the distance that shadows begin to blur at ------------------------------- iShadowMapResolution=4096 <--------------------------------------------(4096)-(2048)-(1024)-(512)-(256)-(128) fShadowBiasScale=0.3000 iShadowMaskQuarter=4 ------------------------------- bDrawShadows=1 Some areas you can tell it is smooth, but areas like on the character model, blocky shadows are still seen.
Kaleeon Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 One Year ago... I bought Skyrim on release day. I was not able to create a good looking character. I totally hated the inventory, the whole UI and the Camera. After 10 hours of frustration i decided not to play Skyrim anymore and turned to another game. I didnt touch Skyrim anymore for the next 8 months. Until because i was very bored, i browsed the Nexus and LL and found a lot of good mods, which (in my opinion) made Skyrim playable. So i have to say a big thank you to the whole modding community. Without you i would have just wasted money on Skyrim. Now i can enjoy it.
joemighty16 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I remember how I discovered the Skyrim mods. I've never been one to mess about with games or any type of software, merely accepting the vanilla version as it came in the box. But it must have been because I remembered a friend showing me some Oblivion mods (added weapons) and hearing or reading something about Skyrim already having a fledgling modding community (even before the game was released!). However, I got quite far in the game before I discovered Nexus and downloaded my first nude mod. I cannot remember which one since I had tried several, but finally settled on Calientes CBBE (it was the one that broke my game the least ). I just remember how I had to juggle the hands mods (yes, they were all separate!), feet mods, body mods and face mods (Better Females by Bella) to get the least amount of limb clipping.... I am actually quite ashamed to admit to the amount of effort I went to get a pubic hair patch that fitted... The first armor mod that I used was GarryG's Daedric Armor and Weapon Improvement. It wasn't until I finished the game that I started to REALLY experiment with different mods (special credit must go to AmethystDeceiver's amazing Black Sacrament mod).
