Silly question about XPS files

The XPS file IS the MESH file. You need blender and the addon that allows you to be able to load .XPS files into it. .XPS files come with their own rigging so you can pose them in blender to the skyrim body or whatever body you are using. You can delete the crap out that you don't need.

With the .XPS addon you'll be able to load .XPS - generic_item.mesh and generic_item.mesh.ascii into blender.

Most of the stuff that I have ported to skyrim for my character has been these file types.

Please can you tell me why some people do not include the Mesh file and only the XPS file on models like this?

https://www.deviantart.com/mylladinx/art/2B-NUDE-REUP-for-XPS-737963131

Thus the file is unusable. Not all know how to create a Mesh file. How is a Mesh file created?

Thank you.

I forget which of the tickable options works (just try both - "save as generic blah blah.mesh.ascii" or "blah blah.mesh")

To do this open XNA and load a model and then go to the "modify -> save GenericItem" menu.

XPS.file converted to skyrim. Pose file if you want then export mesh piece out in .OBJ format and load it into outfit studios. Form and adjust it there as well as adjust the body too.

Actually I just wanted to convert the XPS file to Mesh to be able to make poses with 2B in XNALara. ?

But what you guys said about to bringing the XPS characters to Skyrim is interesting

Yes that's the addon you'll need for blender.

I'm not sure how to port to other games you would have to search to see how to port to a specific game you would also have to look underneath the outfit to see if there is even a complete body under the clothes as just like skyrim some whack out parts of a body to prevent clipping. You also have to look and see how the texture file for the body looks as some have are missing things like nipples and so on .

Okay. Thanks  ?

There are many files there. I only downloaded this one marked in red, is that all that is needed?

Oh. It seems complicated! But I understand ... I have tried to modify some models for The Sims 4 and some have no body under the clothes, what is done in those cases? I mean ... In NifSkope it's very easy to undress the characters but in those programs like Blender it's not easy or maybe I'm doing things wrong  ?

I have never done any work with sims but I'm guessing it would be much like skyrim if a body is missing then you have to find one that'll work with the outfit and add it. Ones without a body might be made to work with specific bodies much like how skyrim can be where a armor or outfit has no body but forms to the body that you have.

I think the media fire link has sets up for different blender versions.
