Whickedwhims installed but not showing!

Recommended Posts

I downloaded the whickedwhims update the other day, the one that was updated in January 6/ 2019.

I did everything that was mentioned in the common mistakes part in the whickedwhims website.

The mod is showing in the script mods pannel but it's NOT SHOWING in the game, like it was never installed in the first place.

Please help im desperate I tried everything...

Was it working before installing the update?

If yes...

Revert back to v137k, or whatever you had before.

Easiest way I've found so far.

It wasn't working either, same problem, showing in the scrip mods pannel but not in the game.

So basically it's the first time trying out WW.

Other Mods? (Try moving all other the mods to the desktop for now)

(Delete the Wicked Saves folder in EA saves folder)

(Delete localthumcache.package from EA/The Sims 4 folder)

Only mod loading should be WW (2 files)

Latest WW version must be used with Game Version 1.48.90.1020 or 1.48.94.1020

Start new game/character for testing only.

Unless it's a corrupted EA file, so you could try a repair install of sims 4; other than that, I have no idea.

I'm bumping this thread because I have the exact same problem, no other mods installed, first installation of WW, and nothing happen. No message at the begining of the game, no access to the options, nothing. And still it appears in the mod list!

Yes that's exactly what's happening with me.

So it has to do with the game's version right ? Like my game's version is not compatible with the WW's updated ?

It's possible, what game version are you running?

Pretty sure the older versions of WW are around here somewhere, but I don't have the links, sorry.

Much easier to just update the game IMO.

Other mods like Master Controller will need updating too, if you are using it, (btw another very cool mod).

Keep in mind WW will only work with a legal/purchased Sims 4.

how do you revert back to old one

I was just lucky I deleted them to my recycle bin, so it was easy just to restore.

(Usually I do a shift-delete and they're gone forever).

Someone else found v137k somewhere around here, but they didn't post a link.

Maybe do a search for WickedWhims versions.

Do you have both Mods & Scripts enabled in EA Game Settings?

Check to make sure Your WW files aren't buried too deep in another sub-folder.

Should be in Users/Name/My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/Wicked/"files go here".

I install all my Animations & Sex Toys in the same place.

(The game will only see/load mods one folder deep inside the Mods folder).

Delete your localthumbcache.package in your Sims 4 folder every time you add or remove mods.
