Noir's Cock add on is great but

I love it and use it all the time but.. I find it is very limited when skins are concerned. In the sense of default replacement skins.

As I have god knows how many highly unnatural skinned sims in my game, I'd like them to be able to use the cock. Say, I have a very deep purple sim at the moment, but the darkest skin just doesn't look right for it.

I'm just wondering if it's easy to make the texture for it transparent as an overlay so it'll add the lights and darks for ANY skin, is it possible? ?

I had the same issue, with Alien sims, alot of my alien skin tones don't work (I use Simsperience 66 color skintones, by Faeriedustsims). I eventually just went into the noir tattoo and started adding extra swatches that match the skintone as closely as possible. Buuuut... I'll have to give it a shot and try crabbs files and see what they do.

I made Noodles Sorbet recolors of the pornstar cock a while ago. Lemme know if you want me to upload them.

I'm not sure if I have that specific skin colour(s) I'll have a look into it, though.

I have skintone tattoo that colors the body and dong in the same color. It does not overwrite your skin details or add any shading. It's called Occult 5035. Download page here

Hm, I will certainly give it a go and let you know what I think! I believe I've even passed this page a few times before, I never knew what it was honestly, haha.

Just to let you know, it works perfectly and it's been so helpful for me, I love how convenient it is.

Are you going to add any different skins for it, maybe? Maybe for your lights you could do near pastel colours, too for other aliens/aquatic kind of sims.

Thank you again for sharing!

Awesome I am glad to hear it works for you. If you could elaborate on what type of 'skins' you would like to see I might be able to do it as long as it's not too crazy, the intended function of this CC is very basic it's just a layer of color that sits underneath all the skin details/tattoos.

For pastels, in the lighter version you can make the colors brighter by changing the default skin tone of the sim, you could find a lighter color you are looking for by trying this out. If there is a color you can't get from the set by doing this (like more/less color saturation) I would certainly be interested in working to make it available. Thanks!

Of course! I use the default replacement skins here, http://linna.modthesims.info/d/578496

I use them all, but mostly using the pastel versions of the skins, (especially for my elven characters or my aquatic sims) because they look nice with obscurus overlays. If you could manage to make your tattoo overlay work with them I'd be ever so grateful!

I also recently downloaded your tattoo overlay to clean up the sims behind to as well as the shiny cock overlay, I think they're amazing. I'm very happy your work is a part of this community. ?

@vstrauss666  Hey I took a look at what you were talking about. The obscurus skins are beautiful, no doubt, but they have compatibility issues so I'll try to explain here

Spoiler

This is a GPME skin detail that takes the default skin tone (and also anything like occult 5035) and adds shading on top of it. The composition method of this texture is set to 3, which means that only the shading and brightness values are used from this texture and applied to the sims skin.

The sim will show up in game with skin color. Why is this black and white? It's easier to add contours and shading this way, and the game will take care of the color. It is easier to make a penis tattoo to match this, because if the tattoo is set to composition 3, then the only thing to be concerned with is having a "composition method 3" penis detail/tattoo with the correct shading

This is an obscurus skin detail, and it really works more like a tattoo or makeup. It masks most layers underneath when it is worn. The composition method of this texture is set to 0, meaning it provides its own color and does not borrow it's color from the selected skintone. This sim could have green skin underneath and we wouldn't be able to tell.

It is difficult to have a matching penis tattoo for this, because you will need to have a "composition method 0" tattoo with the correct color in addition to having correct shading. It is really difficult to have an exact match for this

you can change the behavior of your obscurus skins to use your selected skintone like the GPME skin detail, making it more compatible with other skin details and tattoos like Occult 5035-5055. This is done by setting the composition method of the swatches to 3. You will need sims 4 studio

Make a Swatch in a Package Blend with Skintones

Spoiler

-- Open up a package in S4S and select the warehouse tab

-- select a swatch, aka "CAS Part" from the list on the left.

-- Find "composition method" on the Right-hand side, and set this value to 3.

-- Your diffuse texture for this swatch will now blend with the skintones in game.

-- If you set the composition method back to zero, the game will display the exact colors of your texture- it will not blend with the skintone

Ah, right I see! Thank you for your detailed explanation, that helps a lot.

I may try myself to re-colour some of the textures one day, considering someday I'd love to do my own skin blends or overlays with much intention of having them fantasy like because that seems to be my aesthetic right now, haha.

Thank you so much for your help and explanations, it's kind of you to take your time with me. ?

Thank you so much for the explanation and what to do. I will try this with a few problem skins I have when I use Noir's.
