Archive Invalidation is no longer working

So here I am doing my modding and all of a sudden when I load my game Archive Invalidation is no longer working and no Vanilla stuff is being replaced.

 

I know this because of the following.

 

- Skeleton is not being replaced by the BBB support one.

- Edited fur armor is not replacing the vanilla one.

- None of the DMRA + BB stuff works no more.

- NPCs wearing custom BBB armor have infinity boobs.

- Complete reinstall did not solve the issue either.

- BSA Redirection not working.

 

All my custom armors and races load but anything that is meant to replace something is not working :huh:

Did you check and make certain that one of your mods didn't accidentally over-write your skeleton? Do one of your mods have a skeleton in a bsa file?

 

You do realize that your custom race isn't going to show up without you either running UOP or the custom race fix right?

 

I am not sure why folks are using that skeleton. The only difference between it and the universal one is dead bodies have bbb. That seems a poor trade off (gaining bbb for dead bodies but risking animation problems) to me.

Well it has the Unofficial patches installed as well but that is the only thing that is not listed. I installed them and it's still not working.

Will just remove it, CCleanered everything, Advanced System Care cleaned everything, then restarted.

 

Hopefully when I install it again it will fix the issue.

 

Order of install:

 

1. Oblivion then run it.

2. OBMM.

3. Construction Kit.

4. Unofficial patches.

5. Other mods.

6. BSA Redirection.

When you say BSA redirection, you are doing that via OBMM or Wrye correct? You aren't installing that archive invalidated thing are you? It is badly out of date and doesn't work correctly.

EDIT: ok I did this and the issue is now solved.

 

1. Installed Bash 295.

2. Ran BASH so it created ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa

3. Did BSA redirection again so it updated BSAredirection.bsa

4. Started the game and the issue is fixed.

5. Closed the game and deleted ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa

6. Loaded the game again and it is still working fine.

Just the nexus one. It was a system actually that used that file to 'trick' oblivion along with a text file list.

 

If OBMM generates it, then leave it.

You don't need redirections with invalidationinvalidated installed. It's necessary to remove every invalidation you applied prior to installing invalidationinvalidated. Then it adds it's .bsa in /data/ and registers itself in oblivion.ini's "sArchiveList=" setting. And that's enough i believe.

Or is it outdated already? Any new discoveries in the invalidataion field somewhere?

Sometimes I also had a lot of trouble with savegame bloating. Always make sure your SG do not cache things you wanted changed. I can't tell how many time I was frustrated moving NPCs' locations and realizing they didn't till I didn't the cell cached in my save files... Had also weird behaviour, AI not working properly, head tracking disabled, floating NPCs... You name them...

 

You're using the CSE though right?
