Guest MutantAvocado Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 Some NPCs (most guards) are showing up naked, but they have their armor in their inventory and it's even activated. The outfit they have is this one: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Hammerfell_Garb I tried replacing the vanilla one with another one (I replaced the files in MESHES/CLOTHES/REDGUARD) and I also checked my ESPs but there don't seem to be any armor replacers in there.
donttouchmethere Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 if you have installed an armor replacer that needs bodyslide to work, you have to build your armors in bodyslide first since than wear most guards hammerfell_garb? There seems to be something totaly messed up. but it will be hard to help you without any additional information like screenshots and load order
Neko-Barbare Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 I think that your armor mod is the problem. The texture should be bugged or they haven't been load correctly. The most likely issue is like "donttouchmethere" said, you might have forgot to apply bodyslide.

When I try to wear that armor, my character gets naked as well btw. 3 hours ago, Neko-Barbare said: I think that your armor mod is the problem. I selected the body mods I use in "Bodyslide" and then pressed "Batch Build". Is that what I need to do to apply the body mod to the outfits? Because I don't know too much about Bodyslide. Also, does it count for the male NPCs too? Because they also can't wear that armor.

I don't think the hammerfell guard armors from TGCoN come with bodyslide, unless you have some mod that adds bodyslide to those armors I can only guess without load order: > the hammerfell armors didnt get installed right (the textures/meshes ended in a wrong folder) > TGCoN can't find the vanilla armors for some reason (maybe pointing to the wrong path) > you have a mod that replaces hammerfell armors and needs bodyslide > maybe a usleep patch is needed > you have created a bash patch with multiple vanilla armor replacers > TGCoN has its own hammerfell outfits but gets overwritten by another replacer > you miss a patch for TGCoN > you have a follower mod that adds broken hammerfell armors and overwrites the vanilla one > load order issue

Guest MutantAvocado Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 I haven't sorted the load order with LOOT in a while, so maybe I should start by doing that. But isn't it dangerous to do it when you have merged mods? Or it'll be fine? I uploaded an image there of the problem. It happens with both males and females, and I don't think it only happens with this armor. I tried installing another "outfit replacer" so I can override whatever I had (I don't remember which one it is, since I didn't have MO then), but they still weren't wearing clothes. enb 2018_12_08 17_54_11_87.bmp Quote can you use the vanilla hammerfell outfit? Which one is that? I thought there was only one Hammerfell outfit.

I thought there was only one Hammerfell outfit. there is only one vanilla, unless TGCoN adds its own did you always only tried the hammerfell outfit from TGCoN NPCs? I thought about using additem menu to grab the vanilla one directly from the DCL ingame or via console "help..." and check if there are more versions than one like that you can check if your vanilla hammerfell armor has already an issue (hopefully^^) in addition: replacing those would only help if there wheren't any meshes in the first place: MESHES/CLOTHES/REDGUARD if the textures are missing, than you would need to replace those too I am tapping in the dark here just like you, but maybe like that you can come closer to find out what the issue is

Both have the same problem. Anyway this also happened before I installed the TGCoN mod. I've also checked my Textures/Clothes folder in my original Skyrim folder and for some reason it was pretty much empty... Then what I did is extracting the original "Meshes/Clothes/Redguard" and "Textures/Clothes/Redguard" folders (from Skyrim-Meshes.bsa and Skyrim-Textures.bsa) and then pasted them in the data folder. But it still showed up as they were naked...
donttouchmethere Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 so do you use USLEEP? it changes some things on the reguard side of life (possible for the better) okey the basic skyrim installation comes without textures and meshes folders so it can't look into the Textures/Clothes/Redguard if you have those folders already you must have installed some mod that created those => modified the hammerfell garb If those armors are missing with skyrim basic you have a bad skyrim install in my case it looks like that: (but I have installed USLEEP and a vanilla armor/clothes replacer with bodyslide) for meshes: no folder for textures, they get provided by skyrim/DCL bsa
