TomTheCline Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 I've pretty much installed all the mods I plan on installing for this run (which will last until I get constant CTDs as the result of too many scripts). I'm going through and checking the folders to make sure everything was installed correctly. I've found that bodyslide and racemenu presets tend to be installed as .../skyrim/data/{modName}/SKSE or ClientelTools. Going through I found a few I'm not sure of. The various FNIS modules have their own folder under Data, and there are folders "dd_plugin_src", "creatures.d" as well as folders named "optional" and "option". What should I do with these? For what its worth, I'm still using NMM.
donttouchmethere Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 > those are installed right, dont delete them "dd_plugin_src" "creatures.d" > The various FNIS modules have their own folder under Data if you mean FNIS Behavior & Creatures & Spells: thats correct too, dont change those > folders named "optional" and "option" some mods have extras that are optional (different colors, other bodyslides, added NPCs or whatever), means you can use the files in optionals to modify the mod or just delete them. They get removed - if you deinstall the mod with NMM - anyways (hopefully) Those folder wont get read by skyrim > you will find readme folders too those are just documents from mods, keep/read/delete, up to you > careful with patches or replacers, some arent setup for NMM installation right away, means if you install a patch and it gets its own folder with the mod name in data, than NMM installed it in the wrong folder > about your CTDs, if you have a lot of mods installed you want to install crash fixes (from nexus) and for memory/grafik support: ENBoost more here:
