Gunit Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 I've spent quite literally the past 24 hours trying to get the follower mod Skyrim Healer Onean to work in SSE and every time I get near enough to render the follower my game crashes immediately. Some info on what I've done so far: -Unpacked the fomod installer manually and placed the 1.74 update file on top. -Opened the mod in CK, changed one of the object names and saved the plugin. -Removed hdthigheels.esm requirement by loading the follower onto SSEEdit (yes not TES5Edit) and the hdthigheels.esm in the special edition folder. Everything loaded fine in SSEEdit and I removed all references to the hdt master (both spells and armors), cleaned masters, checked that they were indeed gone from the file header and saved the file. After that the hdthigheels.esm requirement was gone and I removed it from the my data folder. -Passed all armors through SSE NIF Optimizer and head and hair nifs separate with the head only option enabled. Now this is where the issues begin, I cannot preview the actor head in CK as it instantly crashes when I do not even after creating the facemorph with Ctrl + F4. The errors I get are the following: -Missing FaceTint map -SkinnyMorph has 994 vertices but geometry has 0 (can't recreate them at the moment to write the exact error since I started again from scratch and need to remove hdthigheels references again) Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Kain82 Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Go to Nexus there is a mod author called bchick3, he/she ports a lot of Skyrim classic follower mods to SSE. Send him or her a private message requesting the mod. If you have permission from the original mod author then he/she will port it. If not they will still do it as long as you don't upload it on nexus or elsewhere. I've requested two companions to be converted by them. One public and one personal and bchick3 has come through every time.
Kristus Kringle Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 bchick3 also has a conversion guide if you want to try it yourself.
Mama Murphy Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 One thing I have found when converting over followers is that many Oldrim hairs will not seem to work in SSE even after running the optimizer. I would back up her files and try changing her hair to vanilla and see if she works. If it's not that it's probably going to be the head mesh itself which is the problem I had when converting over Acalypha. Also are you replacing her FaceGeom mesh with the optimized Oldrim mesh after saving her esp in CK? If you don't do that her face will be messed up in game anyway.
