Popular Post Holden - DOAHDM Posted November 21, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 21, 2018 A Reshade config I made for DOAXVV. I believe it improves the graphics substantially so I decided to share it. If you are familiar with Reshade the installation will be extremely simple, but I've included instructions regardless. I'll post them here, but they're also in the Readme 1. Move the contents of the archive to your DOAX_VV.exe directory 2. Open "ReShade.ini" in your preferred text editor, and change the "PresetFiles=" line to reflect the directory your Reshade is installed. 3. Launch DOAXVV 4. Press the "Home" key on your keyboard once you're in the game's main menu to bring up the Reshade GUI 5. Select the drop down button at the top of the Reshade GUI and select the DOAXVV ini - Set a Toggle Key by bringing up the Reshade GUI and navigating to the settings tab (this will allow you to disable the Reshade config when the shadows interfere too much with the menus) - Toggle the DOF effect in the Home tab of the Reshade GUI to add a realistic camera blur effect on the background for screenshots, or configure the shaders available to your hearts content Once configured properly, your Reshade config screen should look something like this. KNOWN ISSUES: - Ambient Occlusion effect renders on top of UI elements, so can be annoying and distracting in some menus. It's recommended to set a toggle for the effect so that you can enjoy taking high quality screenshots while being uninhibited in menus. Here's a screenshot example of the issue. Here are some comparison screenshots of the Reshade. The original is depicted on the left, with my Reshade config on the right. Dreamcaster Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 I'm not to familiar with this reshade mod, so what is "Performance Mode" for?
Holden - DOAHDM Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 I'm running on a very nice display, but it's not HDR. It's a graphic mod in that it's my personal preference how it's set up. The DOF effect is mostly for taking screenshots so I cranked up the DOF samples, but if you for whatever reason want to use it for motion then you can turn down the DOF samples and quality in the config to improve performance. As for the brightness, there are various aspects that can be tweaked in the config to raise brightness more to your liking. Specifically the tonemapping section has a gamma option. I have it configured to my tastes so well, it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

One more thing, can this reshade be updated when there's a newer version on official site (such as 4.0.2 in future)? Yes you can.

Depth of field is a graphical effect meant to simulate the eye, or a camera focusing on a singular object and blurring things out of it's depth. It's mainly to take realistic DSR like photos and since the reshade uses high quality BOKEH that hurts performance and interferes with the UI it's not meant to be kept on at all times.

What's performance mode for?
Holden - DOAHDM Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 I've never noticed a difference except that it disables tweaking the shaders.

Holden - DOAHDM Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 That's unfortunate. I was hesitant to release because of the host of issues so I would suggest renaming the dxgi if that's too much of a problem to bear. 1
JoeMesh Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 This is amazing. I don't think I can play without it now. It especially makes butts really pop. 4

You turn on configuration mode if you are setting up and tweaking settings, then turn performance mode back on for best.. Well, performance 8 hours ago, Beach Paradise Team said: That's unfortunate. This seems the only solution, I never found any other way to view the news or gacha pages with ReShade loaded
FullPower88 Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 I do not know how he does it but I do not have the same ?

Your GeDeSaTo preset is the best!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm seriously glad you released this, it looks awesome. Except I think Leifang's hair is totally screwed up. Actually I think this is some weird bug on my end. Kasumi has the same issue. Does anyone know how to fix? I guess the AO doesn't work for girls with fringe hair. Either ways the color correction is spot on without it. Just a bit of a shame. Yeah makes it look like she has a unibrow
Holden - DOAHDM Posted November 22, 2018 Author Posted November 22, 2018 Unfortunately that's an issue with the hair mesh having texture transparency. The only way to fix that would be to disable the AO effect.
Falling5393 Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 This wouldn't happen to be compatible to Ausgeek's 3d Migoto tool would it?
Jumeng Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 1 hour ago, Falling5393 said: This wouldn't happen to be compatible to Ausgeek's 3d Migoto tool would it? Yep. Works with mods, but Gacha information pages and news pages will be blank, does not seem to be a way around this. You can get them back by temporarily moving or deleting dxgi.dll and re-launching game.

Hrm.. guess I've got a specific problem then, exe doesn't launch if I have both of them, I've provided a log file if anyone wants to check it. dxgi.log
zhenshidaila Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 This looks great. But I had a problem during the installation process. please help me. Reshade and the plugin that displays MOD can't coexist. When you put it together, you won't be able to open the game, but just delete one of them and you can open the game normally. From Google Translate, if you are rude, please understand.
Hans Jürgen Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Oh man, after installing this, the game is broken and doesn´t start anymore !! Get something like error (?) 7025 or some garblewarble in a text box. cant speak japanese. I removed everything else, 3dmigoto and reshade but nothing works! Please help ! 1
Holden - DOAHDM Posted December 20, 2018 Author Posted December 20, 2018 The only thing that hooks reshade to the game is the DXGI.dll, if you rename or delete that then I'm afraid whatever is causing you problems is completely unrelated, either that or you were banned.
