Is this just not working right now? EVERY one of the install guides for AFF I've tried has worked to some degree, but every single one tells me to reinstall MCM. It seems like nothing really works right without it.

Yes it is an requirement as almost every bigger mod needs it to configure the settings.

 

But where is the problem with that? Once you set up your mods you don't have to go back to it and it is way better than having dozens of holotapes in your inventory.
