Guest Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Apologies, I would've posted this in the games section however absolutely no one goes there (except to post about the Mass Effect 3 ending...). There are three kickstarters for 3 really cool looking games. However, time's running out for them and they need more pledgers. So I felt like I should inform you guys about them, and see if you'd like to pledge. The first one is Sui Generis, a top down RPG with an amazing physics, lighting, landscape, and weather engine. It's combat, with locational damage, dismemberment, and with parrying, dodging etc, looks really good (EXCEPT for the animations, they said that they'll change them later on). Just watch the videos, you won't regret it. The 2nd one is Distance, from the same people who made the free arcade-esque racer "Nitronic Rush". Words cannot do this game justice. WATCH THE VIDEO. It's incredible. The 3rd one is The Ship: Full Steam Ahead. It's the spiritual sequel to The Ship, which was a fun, innovating game from a couple years back. I think this franchise has promise, and I'd like to see it happen. So yeah, if you find these interesting, please pledge (I know I already did )
Queen Bee Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 I am a fan of Kickstarter projects, and these look really good. The first one is impressive, though the characters move like they're Marionettes. I'm not really into racing games, but my boyfriend loves them. I'll have to remember to show it to him. The third sounds amazing, though I confess I've never heard of The Ship.
Uriel Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Hey, you forgot those Carmageddon and Star Citizen projects.
Guest Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Hey' date=' you forgot those Carmageddon and Star Citizen projects. Those look great, however they are fully funded.
gregathit Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Sui Generis looks incredible! I think that would be a really cool game to invest in. It reminds me fondly of Diablo. Hopefully it gets funded and they also include the editor features. With the editor included it would be a never ending game.
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Didn't Brian Fargo get the rights to wasteland back or something ? That oughta be kickass when it comes out, I mean this is the game Fargo created Fallout as a substitute for back in the 90s when EA decided that if folks wanted a game they'd sit on the IP and not let more be made.
Angrybird Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I'm not familiar with legal procedures but couldn't one just change the name and still make the same game?
