Karen1965 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 When trying to resolve conflicts With Vortex. You have IE: More nasty critters ver (9.0) . (Json). (Creature framework) ( Xp maximum extended) all conflicts with each other. Think which is the master file?. In this case it Xp which is the Master file. The correct way to resolve would be to port Critters to Json, Json to (Creature framework, is also a master file). Then port Creature framework to Xp Maximum extended as this is also a Master file. Clear filters after FNIS as finished. Being Female is a master file when you use RS Children and LL patches. Thanks Karen xx. (PS: I am still learning how to use Vortex).
Nazzzgul666 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Uh, i'm honestly not even sure what you're trying to say (ask?), but think you got some vocabulary wrong independently from Vortex, which might explain my confusion. I hope i won't appear as exaggerated pedantic if i'll start with some general stuff that hopefully will resolve my confusion so i'll be able to help. If you don't care, just jump to my sig about creatures and follow the guide step by step, it's correct regardless which mod manager you use. 1. In modding, something beeing a master file means that it is a hard requirement for something else. Saying that "xy is a master file" doesn't make much sense if you're not refering to another mod (which would be something like a "slave" file to the master file you're talking about. 2. "porting" is something that you shouldn't (have to) do at all when installing mods. This phrase means that you take an element/mod from or for another game, and convert it to the game you want. Assuming you aren't talking about converting mods from Oldrim to SE, you are not supposed to do that at all with the mods mentioned. 3. Json is a data format which different programming languages can read, there is no way to "port" a Skyrim mod into Json. A mod might use this data format to store specific data, and if i does it may create a file in this format, and if more than one mod does that these files possibly might conflict if they have the same name and/or function.
