Guest Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Hey y'all, I'm a total noob at exporting, importing and creating meshes, but I've looked at dozens of tutorials and haven't found one that has helped me in what I'm looking to do. I've created a bulge mesh in Blender 2.78 and am attempting to import the mesh into S4S and this error message is popping up > Spoiler The Sims 4 Studio - Version 3.1.2.1 System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> S4Studio.Blender.BlenderException: File "<string>", line 2, in <module> File "C:\ProgramData\S4Studio\Scripts\geomexporter.py", line 41, in <module> geom.write(output_stream) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\io.py", line 626, in write rcol.get_block_index(self, self.ROOT_REFERENCE_TYPE) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\io.py", line 525, in get_block_index block.write_rcol(stream, self) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\cas\geometry.py", line 442, in write_rcol write_vertex_data(declaration, s, vertex.blend_weights) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\cas\geometry.py", line 416, in write_vertex_data s.u8(element) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\io.py", line 228, in u8 self.u(data, 8, order) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\io.py", line 209, in u if size == 8: self.write('B', data, order) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\io.py", line 183, in write self.f.write(struct.pack(l, data)) struct.error: ubyte format requires 0 <= number <= 255 at S4Studio.Blender.BlenderUtilities.RunBlender(String script, String blend, Boolean background, Boolean check_version) at S4Studio.Blender.BlenderUtilities.ImportGeom(String custom_blend, String custom_geom, Int32 body_type, String cut) at S4Studio.ViewModels.CAS.CASLODItem.ImportMesh(BlenderUtilities blender_util, String blender_path) at S4Studio.ViewModels.CAS.CASStandalone.<>c__DisplayClass71_0.<ExecuteImportMesh>b__0() at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.InnerInvoke() at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.Execute() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- ---> (Inner Exception #0) S4Studio.Blender.BlenderException: File "<string>", line 2, in <module> File "C:\ProgramData\S4Studio\Scripts\geomexporter.py", line 41, in <module> geom.write(output_stream) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\io.py", line 626, in write rcol.get_block_index(self, self.ROOT_REFERENCE_TYPE) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\io.py", line 525, in get_block_index block.write_rcol(stream, self) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\cas\geometry.py", line 442, in write_rcol write_vertex_data(declaration, s, vertex.blend_weights) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\cas\geometry.py", line 416, in write_vertex_data s.u8(element) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\io.py", line 228, in u8 self.u(data, 8, order) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\io.py", line 209, in u if size == 8: self.write('B', data, order) File "C:\Users\TEMP.DESKTOP-7TJS776.004\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons\s4studio\io.py", line 183, in write self.f.write(struct.pack(l, data)) struct.error: ubyte format requires 0 <= number <= 255 at S4Studio.Blender.BlenderUtilities.RunBlender(String script, String blend, Boolean background, Boolean check_version) at S4Studio.Blender.BlenderUtilities.ImportGeom(String custom_blend, String custom_geom, Int32 body_type, String cut) at S4Studio.ViewModels.CAS.CASLODItem.ImportMesh(BlenderUtilities blender_util, String blender_path) at S4Studio.ViewModels.CAS.CASStandalone.<>c__DisplayClass71_0.<ExecuteImportMesh>b__0() at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.InnerInvoke() at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.Execute()<--- I'm totally lost, and don't know how to fix it. I tried restarting my computer and adding a base mesh, but it hasn't worked. If anyone has links to a proper tutorial or can walk me through this briefly (ha ha), I would be eternally grateful. Thank you again <3
Simite Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 I'd be happy to help you try and figure this out, firstly try using blender 2.70, this is the most compatable version of blender with S4S according to the S4S team. Secondly there are already a couple bulge meshes that exist, if your looking to make some underwear then I would maybe just create a standalone from one of their mesh, but if you really must create your own mesh for this project then I would suggest just using standard EA bottom mesh, extrude your bulge shape out of the mesh in the area you want it and then import that as a 3D mesh. Feel free to private message me for any other help.
