Is this an old vanilla bug?

EDIT: Yeah my bad this should have been for the SE version of Tech Support. If an admin sees this could you please move this thread to Tech Support SE? Thanks!

First, I'm playing the Special Edition, and secondo: I use the Unofficial Patch (and yes I also cleaned the master files properly prior to modding). Alright, this is about something pretty minor to be honest. However, I find it curious that it would have been apparently unnoticed by now years later with so many modders tempering so many things in this game (at this point in time would there be ANY single pixel left within Skyrim's map that was NOT touched at some point by someone out there really).

Ok so a picture first:

Notice anything?

The 'shaft' mechanism on the grindstone is gone. However, the spinning / rotating animation of the grindstone itself also stopped when I got there to trade with him. However, something that the picture does not show is that Eorlund himself keeps animating normally (while the stone doesn't).

Interesting things though...

º If I simply press 'T' and wait even just 1 hour there on the spot, then everything works. The mechanism is there and the grindstone itself spins.

º The 'bug' (mechanism gone, spinning animation gone) is repeatable and ONLY occurs when I load my saved game for the first play session (I.E. it only happens once basically)

º The other grindstone in Whiterun (Adrianne's) isn't affected by the bug. In fact all other grindstones I've seen so far in my game don't have that bug (although my current game is still fresh).

Now, the weird part...

I've made a keyword search through ALL of the Unofficial Patch release notes for 'grindstone' and I did find a number of entries over the years that fixed issues that were directly related to, or indirectly related to various grindstones across the game. There was ONE single entry that dates back all the way to a 2012 (1.0, 2012-04-07) version of the Unofficial Patch that reads as follow:

Quote

- Fixed the shaft of the grindstone on blacksmith sharpening wheel stations (Meshes\Furniture\Clutter\BlacksmithSharpeningWheelAnimating.NIF) only being on one side of the stone (wouldn't be possible to use as the torque on the wheel would quickly destroy it)

Now, that entry as you can see, however, does NOT refer to the 'shaft' mechanism being absent (as it is in my case), nor does it say anything about the grindstone animation being stopped. It's only saying that the shaft is found on one particular side of the stone. So it's not the same thing. But I pointed at that entry since it is the only one in the entire Unofficial Patch log that referred to anything remotely close to at least part of the bug I'm seeing (I.E. the mechanism itself / shaft portion of the grindstone mesh). BUT... the entry does point to a .NIF file that is interestingly-enough named "WheelAnimating". Weird, that in my case the bug isn't related to the same one that the Patch entry mentions, even though in my bug the animation of the grindstone is gone and the file in question has 'animation' in its name.

So anyway, that's about it. It's absolutely not a major issue. As I mentioned, if I simply Wait on the spot, or sleep somewhere and return later on the 'bug' is gone and everything works out of nowhere. But if it really was a bug caused by a mod I'm using (I'm using no mod related to grindstones at all) then wouldn't ALL the grindstones also be affected? So, since the bug seems to be affecting THAT one particular grindstone (Eorlund's, in White Run) then I was starting to wonder if this could possibly just be a very old, never-fixed issue that might well be from the vanilla game and has nothing to do with my mods, or even has nothing to do with the fact that I'm playing the Special Edition.

Has anyone ever seen any issues with Eorlund's grindstone?
