Wrist Seams Help!!!!!!! >.<

Hi all,

I'm using CBBE Slim with Bijin and I am getting a wrist seam. i use MO2 and the only conflicts dealing with hands that i can see are with Diversity, Bijin, CBBE, and gemling jewelry. Currently priority is as follows (from left to right): Bijin-->CBBE--->Diversity--->gemling. I also have Interesting NPCs and RS Children. An aside is that i downloaded a makeup mod from oldrim but it only affects tintmasks I believe (better makeup for skse) I tried cover women for two seconds and then tried a different better makeup version but I believe since nothing gets overwritten with MO like it does with NMM that this wouldn't be my issue? I have been trying to mod my game since July and everything is (almost) perfect except this issue. The only thing I can possible think of would be to re-install those mods? If anyone could please help, I would really really really appreciate it or else I might cry. Thanks!

Reinstall whatever body you are using as not all bodies use the same hands and feet and if you are using the wrong hands and feet or something overwrote your files with different hands and feet then you'll get that type of hand gap.

Ok, so I re-installed CBBE. The wrist seams in the screenshot are gone, I re-installed CBBE completely and I chose slim, moles, cleavage, etc. I also chose for it to overwrite the vanilla meshes. Now I see the seam when I have clothes on and not when I'm naked. What can I do to fix that? I look frumpy without the vanilla mesh replacer but have seams.

Also, I do not have Bodyslide and don't really know what it is honestly >.<

Bodyslide is a tool that allows other users, modders, and yourself set up a collection of alteration sliders for both bodies and the clothes you wear.   Think of it as a plastic surgeon who also custom tailors your outfits to fit.

Let's say you want all your fat npcs to have massive tatas...  and thin waists,   and your thin npcs to have teeny tiny tatas but an excessively large bottom.  Well you could do that with bodyslide, but then none of the clothes would fit and you get those seams as well.   So bodyslide allows you to use those settings that you have customized and apply them to ALL armor and clothing that either you or other modders have created the sliders settings for.   People have made sliders available for all the vanilla armors, and most of the custom armors also have bodyslide settings as well.

So you simply create your body, or chose from one of the presets, as is or altered to your preference... then you export all the armors.   It takes anywhere from roughly 1-20 minutes depending on the number of models you chose to adjust at one time and also the power of your pc.  After that all your armor should fit properly.

TLDR:

You need bodyslide to make stuff fit.

Ok so basically what I'm gathering is that I should use this tool in order to make every outfit in the game fit everyone and it will eliminate seams? I have found that the seams are only when I put on armor. When I'm naked, no seam. I used the actual option for vanilla mesh armors in the FOMOD when I installed. I chose slim, maybe they're meant for curvy? If that's the case, then I might as well just go with UNP (which I find to look more realistic) and use body slide to convert all the meshes in the game to UNP even the custom CBBE ones. Tell me if I'm not understanding what you're meaning. Thanks!

Edit: is bodyslide only for CBBE?

Edit 2: I downloaded BodySlide and it looks like Greek lol.

The SE version of bodyslide is easiest to work with CBBE.  Although you can make it work for unp, it requires more effort and a bit of research.  The reason you are getting a seam with the armor is that the armor actually has its own body built in up to the wrist.  So you are basically wearing the armor and a body suit that does not match your hands.

Also, keep in mind that the bodyslide tool will not exactly make the outfits fit everyone.  For example, if you download a custom npc, follower, or npc replacer that uses its own body type.. you will have to copy the body style you use and replace those custom bodies to fit your armor as well.   And if they come with custom armor that does not match your body, and does not come with bodyslide files... you will experience a drastic change in your body when you wear those.  Enslaved wenches, for example, come with armor that will make your backside quite large.. and you will be severely topheavy as well (if your character is female).

The easiest way to accomplish what you want is to install bodyslide.   Install bodyslide sliders for vanilla armor... seek out bodyslide sliders for the rest of your custom armor (normally on the authors page.. but you can google search if not.. or use nexus or loverslab search file features.   Once you have bodyslide.. and all the sliders for CBBE-SE that you need... you can then look up youtube tutorials on how to use bodyslide to batch export all the armor.

I would advice that you do not use the BUILD button on the bottom center... instead learn to use the BATCH BUILD button on the bottom left while holding down the CTRL key.  This will allow you to select a folder to export all the files to.. so you can make sure the files you are exporting are what you want.. before you start overwriting files.  Furthermore... you should back up any other file it may overwrite before you do overwrite it.   If you use mod organizer... you can just batch export the files into their own custom folder so you do not overwrite anything.

Ok, so I'm stuck on the last part (I've watched Gopher's tutorial). I watched Gopher's tutorial and batched build the vanilla outfits. I logged back in and nothing changed. The seams were still there. I did what you said about making a separate file by clicking control when you click build. I did that and put it in a separate file folder outside of MO. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Do I need to convert that folder into and archive and then have MO add it? Any help would be very much appreciated and thanks again for helping me in the first place. Thanks!

You can do it in 2 ways....   You can Just rename that folder you exported to something like BODYSLIDE OUTPUT  and then just drag it into the mods section of mod organizer (through windows explorer).  Refresh the list and make sure it will always stay at the very bottom of the middle pane load order.

Or

- Right click a blank spot in the middle pane..

- select create empty mod

- Name it bodyslide output

- Right click the empty mod you just created and click open in explorer

- Drag drop all the files you just exported into that other folder into this one.

- close the explorer window

- Refresh your mod organizer list and enable the new folder you just created.

- Make sure it always remains at the bottom of your load order.

Ok for some reason it's not letting me chose a file destination now when I have control held down and click build. I created a folder for vanilla and common clothes. I tried to do one for dawnguard and then also dragonborn and it just adds it somewhere (I have no idea where). I then tried to just do it for everything and it kept asking me if I wanted to overwrite something about physics, so then I unchecked all the options with physics in them and tried it that way and it still wouldn't let me determine the file path

Also, I'm seeing the seam when I'm in the LaL prison. I didn't see a roughspun tunic in the BodySlide drop down. Could this be my issue?

I've tried doing it several times with no luck. I still see the seam. I"m not sure what i'm doing wrong :(

I found the culprit. It’s finally first person casting animation. I’m really annoyed that a) it took me all night to figure it out and b) that I might have to use vanilla casting. Vanilla is terrible. I don’t know how I’d be able to fix a seam/conflict between a body slide outfit and an animation though >.<
