amenshawn Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 In a series of botched attempts to mod Skyrim, I broke the intro. Now, the horses and wagons remain stationary at the 'fade in' point, while the characters in the wagons continue to look about, but no additional dialogue occurs. The audio plays the sound of hoofbeats and wagon wheels despite zero movement. I've cleared the mod list entirely, eliminated FNIS from the Tools folder, and re-installed the game, but it didn't clear this issue. I even ran the fix tool on the Steam site to replace any folders that had become corrupt. It's probably something simple that I've overlooked, but I'm running on three days of broken sleep and a migraine induced haze. If someone would be willing to tell me how to fix this issue, I promise I'll muddle through getting the mods working myself as best I can. That way if I somehow cause this issue again, I can get past it.
Guest Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 In some cases you have to reinstall it from Steam. Go in Steam, go over Skyrim, open the properties, then Local files, and use "Verify integrity of game files". After that reinstall SKSE.
GenioMaestro Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 If horse not move maybe you have creature animation enabled but none animation installed. Open FNIS, click over De-Install Creature button, Update Fnis button and try in game.
amenshawn Posted October 18, 2018 Author Posted October 18, 2018 SOLVED In my sleep deprived and pain med addled state, I had overlooked the 'purge unmanaged files' tab in NMM. It found a load of items that were embedded deeper than I'd looked and removed them, now everything fires up and runs fine. Sorry to bug you guys with questions due to something so simple. Thanks for the feedback.
