skse64 stops running before the game even opens?

Hello again, so I just downloaded skse64 2_00_10 and when I try to start the game, the music for the menu starts but after a second it closes before the game even starts?  What am I doing wrong with this?  Is there something I can do to fix it?  It was also doing this after I downloaded one of the previous versions of skse64 too so I must be doing something wrong.  Can anyone help me?

Crash on launch brings two things to mind-

1. You are using the wrong version of SKSE64 for the game runtime version:

Game / SKSE64

1.5.23 / 2.0.6

1.5.39 / 2.0.7

1.5.50 / 2.0.8

1.5.53 / 2.0..10

2. You have physics-enabled body & outfits but no physics-enabled skeleton- reinstall XPMSSE.

If none of the above helps, you may have to "verify game cache" to make sure your game files have not become corrupt somehow.

Ok so, I updated and decided to reinstall XPMSSE and I know the runtime version is correct.  How do I go about "verify game cache"?

Right-click on the game name in Steam, select Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files (or something very similar.)

Did what you said to, it validated everything but the game still won't load properly.

See what the SKSE log says.

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\skse64.log

Possible one of your mods that uses SKSE was not updated to the newest version.

Ok, I'll try updating all of my mods.  A lot of them say they're incompatible or something similar when I looked at the log you wanted me to look at.  I'll see how that goes!

So I've tried updating what I can but I still get these messages

checking plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\EngineFixes64.dll
couldn't load plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\EngineFixes64.dll (Error 126)

and

checking plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\SetVehicleFixPlugin.dll
couldn't load plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\SetVehicleFixPlugin.dll (Error 193)

??

My game still doesn't load too.

I'm using SSE Engine Fixes and it works fine.  Are you sure you installed version: (Part 1) Engine Fixes 2.13 for SSE 1.5.53 - skse64 plugin?

My log shows:

checking plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\EngineFixes64.dll
registering plugin listener for SKSE at 5 of 6
plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\EngineFixes64.dll (00000001 EngineFixes64 plugin 00000001) loaded correctly

Disable both mods and see if the game loads.  If it does, then they aren't updated.

Woops, I forgot to update that one!  I did but it's still not working, it doesn't seem to want to load regardless of what I do.

I'm also still getting this one

checking plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\SetVehicleFixPlugin.dll
couldn't load plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\SetVehicleFixPlugin.dll (Error 193)

Everything else says it's loaded correctly now, what am I doing wrong?

What mod does SetVehicleFixPlugin even come from?  I've tried looking on NMM but I can't seem to find it?  Is there anyway I could try fixing that mod so my game hopefully runs???

Ok, totally forgot about that one...  So I updated that too and my game still won't load.  I tried to look in that skse64 log and engine fixes was YET AGAIN not working even after I just updated it so I disabled it.  My game seemed to have lasted a second longer and I saw the logo this time but it still crashed.

Go through your SKSE plugins dlls. You are likely to have some that are not updated. A couple doesn't need updates, but most do. I always find oneI missed if I get crashes on startup after updating (think this update was the first where it didn't happen).

I'm currently updating everything, it'll take a while but I'll keep you posted!

Did you update any mods that require you to re-run FNIS?

I always run FNIS when I update/download a mod, I'm also going to make sure I update FNIS too while I'm at it.

Ok so, I updated everything I could but it STILL won't load.  It's very frustrating...

how about try this to determine if SKSE or one of its components is the culprit.  Start Skyrim without using the SKSE shortcut.  If you get to the Skyrim Splash Screen/Menu, then you know its a SKSE issue.  If you don't get to the main menu, then its something else breaking the game.

My game started without a hitch and I also got the Splash menu thing too.  Should I try re-installing SKSE64 again?

Couldnt hurt to try.  Otherwise, you will need to disable all SKSE plugins.

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE  See what all .log files get created.  I think a log file gets created for every loaded plugin.  Then just disable them all and see if it starts.  Delete the log files (or move them to a back up folder).  You should see NO log files get generated if all the plugs are disabled (minus the skse64.log file).  If that works, start loading 1 at a time until it breaks.

Ok so, everything worked except for Beeing Female.  I played for a little bit and everything else works, except, I can't seem to get to the sexlab light mod config menu.  It just shows up as "Install/update" along with a list of compatible mods, or at least I assume what that list is there for.

Here's what it looks like, figured you'd want to see it since I'm not all that good at describing it...

Sexlab Light has no config menu, it was created before SKSE was there for SE. If you want the full functionality you need framework beta for SE from the oldrim section.

I could've sworn it had one before, maybe I'm thinking about something else...  So, I would be able to download the framework from oldrim without it bugging up my game?  Or is there one for SE?

There is one for SE, don't use the Oldrim one. It just is in that section of the forum.
