Reginald_001 Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 I've tried to disable the vanity cam by adjusting the Fallout4Custom.ini file in C:\Users\blah\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 by adding this to the [camera] section: bReturnTo1stPersonFromVanity=0 bDisableAutoVanityMode=1 fAutoVanityModeDelay=1200.0000 Unfortunately, after 2 minutes of idling, it yet again began to spin around. Does anyone know how to disable this 'feature'? Are there any ways around it? I can prevent it by moving the mouse around, but for the video log I'm making this is not what I want. I want the cam to be steady for 2-5 minutes without it going into vanity cam. Any ideas?
Benjou1 Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 to remove vanity camera : bReturnTo1stPersonFromVanity=1 bDisableAutoVanityMode=1 make the spinning stops : fAutoVanityIncrement=0 (if you want the spinning to be slow put a value near to 0 example "fAutoVanityIncrement=0.1500") tweaking how close the camera is during vanity camera : fDefaultAutoVanityZoom=

If you find how to disable it, I would like to know too. I thought so. It looks like it's a hard coded effect, but I'm going to spin up the CK and see if I can find anything on it. I'd really like a steady cam. I'd use the dialogue cam for videos, but that shows the player's shoulder, which I don't want. So for now I'm using the immersive hud mod to hide anything but subs, I put the FOV to 100 then aim 'just left' or 'just right' of Ivy to make sure the context crosshair doesn't show up... It's all a bit finnicky. So if I could get the vanity cam to stop that would be cool. I am thinking of using cheatEngine. I might be able to create a trainer that just fixes the timer. It's an ugly hack, but if all else fails I might resort to that. Should I figure that out then I'll share the CE file here.

VonHelton Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 Why would you want to disable the in-game screensaver?? ?

After two minutes the vanity cam starts, disrupting the 'recording', so I need to wriggle the 'cam' around to prevent it from happening. I tried setting the delay to 1200 (instead of 120) and I set the 'bdisableAutoVanityMode' to 1. [Camera] f3rdPersonAimFOV=70 bReturnTo1stPersonFromVanity=0 bDisableAutoVanityMode=1 fAutoVanityModeDelay=1200.0000 I'm stupid.. I'd placed them under the [decals] part by accident. I'll retry it next time I play FO.
